Halo Triple Pack with non-Platinum Halo?

When I bought my Halo Triple Pack (box set containing Halo, Halo 2, and the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack) it had the Platinum Hits version of Halo in the silver case. The other 2 titles were in standard green cases.

There is an opened Halo Triple Pack for sale at a shop down the street. The Halo in that set is the Game of the Year edition in the green case, not the Platinum Hits edition.

Any chance the first batch shipped this way, or did they all have the Platinum Hits version? I realize that someone could have put that in there and kept the PH version for themselves, but why in the world would anyone do that?

If I remember correctly, my friend's case has the green Halo case. I'll give him a call and double check.

i bought my halo triple pack, unopened at a circuit city clearance sale last year...it had the platinum hits halo in it.

Just talked to him. Just like Gorez, his was a silver platnium hits case. The one you found is probably what the shop may have thrown together, or what someone traded in. Hard to tell.
