The topic about KI, Area 51, etc. requirements got me thinking. I've got nothing brag worthy, but I'd love to hear what others have under the hood and how's it running.

Anyone make a MAME cabinet? Make your own controller? Anyone make a dial controller?

Let's hear about it.

Since when do we have to ask people to brag twice?

My setup is lame but it is a laptop which makes it, in my opinion, the greatest portable gaming machine out there :D

Yeah, no bites, hmm...

I'd love to get a laptop MAME thing going. That's pretty cool.

Well, this system does me just fine:

1Ghz Pentium III
Asus CUV4X MB
320MB PC-133
160 MB Hard Drive space (2 80GB 7200RPM Maxtors)
Soundblaster Live!
Nvidia Riva TNT2 32MB w/TV-out
12X Sony CD-R/RW
Old ass 4X Creative DXR2 DVD-Rom drive
Running Win2k SP3 w/DirectX v9.0

Yes, somewhat outdated, but believe it or not, there is pretty much nothing emulation related it doesn't excel at playing. The HD Mame images are quite slow, but I am almost sure it is because of Mame, and not the system. Mame will emulat KI and KI2 slow as hell on my system, while the KIame emulator is full speed with sound. Until I find a REAL need to upgrade, I am staying right here. I really don't do PC games, so I have no worries. All my emulators and roms run very very sweet on this setup.
