From DS Fanboy...
Nintendo sent out an avalanche of Nintendo DS handhelds and games to the Penny Arcade headquarters last week, donating the towering collection to Child's Play. The gamer-run charity has been donating toys, games, and other gifts to children's hospitals since 2003. Since then, the altruistic group has raised millions of dollars for its partner hospitals.
Nintendo made sure to provide something for everyone with its donation, delivering DS systems in every color and handing out hundreds of copies of Nintendogs, Big Brain Academy, Mario Kart DS, and many other titles. Gabe posted photos of the mountainous shipment and assured readers that the DS Lites will find their way to the gracious hands of kids in children's hospitals soon.

No denying it was a grand gesture and good publicity, but... do you think they were leftover refurb units maybe?

I'd think Nintendo to be a little classier than that. Besides that, everything they donated is probably tax-deductible (but I'm no accountant).

As it turns out, I just read that Nintendo didn't donate them at all, but sold them at a deep discount, according to Kotaku. I'm sure someone will spin this one way or the other, but it won't be me.

edit: I meant to add this completely unrelated bit...do the grammatical errors at Kotaku get on anyone else's nerves? They seriously need a full-time editor to make sure that what their staff has posted is legible and comprehensible. I can't tell you how many times I've had to re-read sentences there to try and figure out what the author MEANT to say.

Not a big fan of the charity myself. Any charity that gives toys to dolls that come to life and kill people is not a worthy cause in my eyes.

Hats off to Nintendo, to me this is why they never came across as an evil empire, or anything of the sort. But thats me.
Either way, this was indeed generous of them.

The police in Mexico raided a house where they made drugs. This is the money (drug money of course) they found around in the house, it was everywhere. If im not mistaken it was like 206 million dollars and this is just laying around in one single house lol, crazy stuff.

Examples? It looks fine to me (newer version of the article, perhaps?). Sure, they started a word with "but," but even after 3 hours of sleep last night the article's few short paragraphs flow commendably.
Much, MUCH better than the majority of computer hardware review sites all around. I read a comparison/review of the nVidia Georce 8800 GTS/GTX that went on for at least 18 pages, said essentially nothing, and was so badly written that I had to give up. It was actually making me angry.
