Yeah most of us here were too... like considering it's only a couple of miles from where I work, I would have been there like a shot too had it been known until the actual opening!

I don't know what the price of the model is in the US, but it was over £2,000 here I believe.

Dammit, London's only 2 1/2 hours by train for me, I could've cashed in. :( It's about the only tempting PS3 deal so far tbh... would've fun stiffing Sony for a 120 mile taxi ride home too. :)

UK went 'metric' like in 1979, but they still don't understand it. I lived in the UK for 20 years, oh the bother I had with inches, miles, pints and that other crap.

We use both sets of units to be fair. Temperatures are given out in C and F usually. Distances are quoted in kilometres and miles. You can buy items in pounds or kilograms. We are though still for the most part an imperial unit country. I guess that makes American tourists more at home LOL

I can use either set perfectly fine and can convert readily between, but I'm sure I'm a freak on such things and most people only seem to be happy with one set or the other...

Are shops in the UK still being fined for selling items in 'pounds'? That was funny at the time!

Only loose weight items such as fruit. If it's ready packed to buy, then selling in pounds is still okay afaik (in fact for example, I believe jam jars are still one pound size).

My buddy in England doesn't know squat when it comes to the temp in F...

Then again, I don't know anything when it comes to temp in C.

I know 0C = 32F :king:

If you *REALLY* wanted American tourists to feel at home you could do something about your odd steering wheel placement. :p
