Price Help

Looking to purchase a good PSX RPG for a birthday present and am having trouble deciding what to buy and how much to pay.

A few I've been looking at:
Grandia
FF7
FF8
Vagrant Story
Parasite Eve
Parasite Eve II
FF Tactics

Never was a big fan of RPGs but those are some of the ones I was told were great ones that any RPG fan would like.

I would recommend FF7. Some game stores here sell it (The re-released Greatest Hits version) brand new very reasonable, approximately $30. The original version goes for considerably more due to collectors wanting it, even though I believe the actual game is exactly the same. btw, approximately how old is the person you are buying it for?

I have a hard time finding FF7 at all, let alone at a decent price.

Anybody know off hand the average prices I can expect to find the games I listed at (and other rpgs for that matter)? I'm not in a complete hurry as I still have some time but since I rarely see my brother anymore (he's 21 btw) I really would like to get him a gift with some thought put into it (rather than any random rpg at the local ebgames).

I'm just surprised you're having a hard time finding FF7 reasonable, have you checked out Ebay? If not, you probably should if a reasonably-priced (Greatest Hits) copy is not readily available in your area. Chrono-Trigger is a very popular one too, my sister recently bought it new here at EB Games for less than $30 (again, a "Greatest Hits" version). Unfortunately, original versions of most of those RPGs you list go fairly high in game stores, and on Ebay of course.
