Full Throttle is the motorcycle game.

The Dig was also a very good Lucasarts game, as well as the infamous Grim Fandango, and Monkey Island.

I really dug these games! Classics for sure!

Sam & Max kicks ass! That's one those games that deserves a sequel. Played a little bit of Full Throttle but never Day of the Tenticle.

Wasn't "Day of the Tentacle" the sequel to "Maniac Mansion"?

Wasn't "Day of the Tentacle" the sequel to "Maniac Mansion"?

Actully, it was! I played the game at my uncles house, and then later found out that he threw the game away! I was pretty mad. It was my favorite game. later i found out about Maniac mansion, and i bought it on ebay as fast as i could. Its very fun.

The Dig was also a very good Lucasarts game, as well as the infamous Grim Fandango, and Monkey Island.

Also, i love the monkey island games. they rock as well. I was thinking of buying grim fandango, but i dont know what it is. i know its made by lucasarts. Is it like day of the tentacle, maniac mansion, sam and max, or the monkey island games at all?

Day of the the Tentacle is a wonderful game. Great voice acting, great story, good puzzles, actually funny!

Yes, grim fandango is similar in play style to Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max, and Full Throttle.

I own Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max, and also Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (by the same team that did the other two).

I hope you guys know that the original version of Maniac Mansion is hidden in the Day of the Tentacle game. I forget how to get to it but it is in there.

I LOVE Day of the Tentacle!! There was something so damn funny about Hoagie trying to pick up George Washington's maid, and Harold was hilarious as well.

"How's it going, Harold?"
"I'm sure I don't know!"

I haven't played Day of the Tentacle, but if you like Maniac Mansion type games, Zak McKracken is another winner!

Lucasarts released a nice combo pack or two with most of those games. Lucasarts Archive Vol. 1 contained Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max Hit the Road,
Rebel Assault, and Star Wars Screen Entertainment. Unfortunately, they now offically sell only a reduced version containing just those first three, and it's still $30...

LucasArts Archive Vol. 3 consisted of Dark Forces, The Dig, Full Throttle, Afterlife, Monkey Island, and Monkey Island 2, but it's not as common.

Sam and Max is wooonderful, and the comic version (though sadly out of print) is also yummy.
I liked video games but wasn't very good at them, maniac mansion I adored and actually beat.. thanks to that loose brick in the dungeon, hehe.
dott is funny too, we had a pirated one so we had to keep guessing the blueprints everytime we wanted to play but it was worth it :)

For the guy asking if Grim Fandango is good...it's my personal choice for best video game of all time. Everything about that game is just pure ART. I'm in love with it. It's an adventure game just like all the rest, but with, obviously, a lot more love and time put into it. I would recommend Grim Fandango to everyone.

Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade was another 'Point and Click Adventure'. Also, Loom was great too.

Do I really have to answer that?

My uncle also had an indiana jones game that i think played like DOTT. Also i just want to confirm that Grim Fandango is like DOTT and Sam and Max hit the road.

Those games rock.. I'd love to pick up a copy of those. The last time I tried to run a DOS game though it couldn't find my sound card.. I still play Monkey island on my Amiga, but I also have it for Sega CD.. I wish tenticle and sam and max had made it to sega cd :(

That would rock if they were on sega CD. Can you save monkey island on sega CD? or do you need a backup cart?

The Sega Cd has an internal backup ram, but it's really small. You can find a sega cd backup cart though that adds to it.

How many games can it save at once? Or does each game have a certain amount of space?

MarkM2112

Each has a certain amount. For example, Sonic CD only uses a portion of the internal RAM, while a complex game like World War III will use the entire amount.

Thanks! when you save, does it tell you how much your using of it? for example, when you save sonic CD does it say saving 8mb/256mb or something? and can you check it by not putting a disc in or can you check it at all?
