He drives up prices for his own auctions by bidding on others of the same...
Here is a response that I got from him:
"I only bid on the previous one because i was getting ready to set up an auction for the one I have, I was merely trying to drive the market price of it up. I just recently listed it. Thanks again.

Wow, what a jackass! What do other's think?

If he is stupid enough to use the same Ebay user name to do this, I'd save that email and at least try to report him. It couldn't hurt.

I'm sure it isn't against eBay's rules. It's just...kind of creepy. I don't think it could even work.

Moved to Everything eBay since it really doesn't belong in Classic Gaming.
I also fixed the topic title to match the name that was posted in the inital message that the OP got from the eBay user in case someones just scans the topic title and doesn't read into the thread.

Not saying I condone this whatsoever (if this were stocks, it would actually be illegal), but its kind of silly of him to even be bothering with it.
Unless this is a truly rare game, its going to be virtually impossible for him to corner the market.
This goes along with the topic that is somewhere around here on cornering the market. All he is doing is wasting his time and possibly a SMALL amount of others money (but, oddly enough, not money that will be spent on HIS auction).
Asshole? yes.
against ebay rules in any way? no.

Well.. he may have won that one, and may also have just turned around and listed it for a higher price. Tons of folks out there doing that these days, too, yanno. Who knows, really? He's already admitted to his unethical practices.
Also, there are a bunch of ebay sellers out there with multiple account names. They use some to buy, and others to sell. Some just use one, and those are easiest and most obvious to spot. I have run across a few different ones and haven't been surprised to find them on this, and other, gaming sites.
I could really get into a rant on my experiences in the past few years, but won't.
Caveat Emptor.... bid and choose wisely is all I'll add.

Ah go for it, I like reading rants concerning sellers/ebay.
Sweetshit4u . . . I mean sweetstuff4u is notorious for doing such things on just about every atari jaguar game, accessory and system. Bidding on it just to run the price up. He has also been accused of much worse on these boards, its within another post.
And that is just one example of many among ebay buyers/resellers on ebay.
