IM just curious to know whats the most youve paid for a box, booklet or both....

Please specify what game was it for!

The most ive paid is very low...10 dollars for a super metroid box and booklet. Probably not a good decision

I havent bought any expensive manuals or boxes myself, although i once bidded 50 euro for a spanish rodland manual, but was only second highest bidder.

A friend of mine has done many not so fortunate deals in the past. I remember him once buying the scandinavian manuals for Ducktales 2 and Chip n Dale 2 (NES) for approx. US$75 each! Though they are quite rare, thats overcharged nonetheless.

Wow And i thought I would never be able to sell an International Superstar Soccer Deluxe (USA NTSC) box and instructions for $100.....

I was the one who bought that F2 box. very good price in my opinion. I was quite pleased to finally get one, especially in great shape :)

I paid $700 for a Quadrun box and manual for 2600.

I recently paid 1% of that total (do the math) for a Star Wars 32X manual on Ebay. That is my highest amount. I don't buy that many manuals since I am not an active collector. As a gamer, I just never use them unless it is a sports game.

I don't think I have ever bought a box just by itself so I have no figures to contribute there. I tried to buy an NFL QB Club box (also on 32X) for $3 awhile back to complete my copy. I sent in the offer and assumed the seller would take it but I was wrong. The guy demanded $8, which is more than the entire game goes for, so that deal fell through.

suppafly: doubt it. I bought it privately, but If a Stadium Events bo (that Hounder said was going to be auctioned this month) ever shows up, it should hit more than $700.

$50 for a certain game's back insert...and no, I won't say for what game! I was tempted to spend $30-50 on a Panzer Dragoon Saga case and manual though...

The most on one single item was $10 for the manual to Shining Force 2 on the Genny.

Though my largest transactions were a couple years back. I spent $500 for 1900+ boxes. Then a few months later spent $200 for a couple hundred manuals.

I've spent a few bucks on a couple of boxes for games. One that stands out is Mutant League Football (Genesis), which I bought the cart for $1 one place and spent $2 for the box and manual elsewhere.

Well, unless you tell us which game, we'll have to assume it is Shenmue based on your screen name ;)

$nil! I can't stand buying games in parts... I either buy loose with no intention of upgrading or just buy complete from the beginning.

I paid $75 for a magical chase box so I could complete it. Then I eventually sold the complete game so I could get the japanese version. Then later found out the usa version has extras in it. Now I kick myself everyday over that. One of my favorite games.

That makes sens but what if you find a very rare game loose (and cheap!) in a store? Do you let it pass just because it loose?

Personally I buy those rare games and find the boxes later....like the time I found a Little Samson for 10 dollars....I still havent found he box cheap....

Hmmm... Not entirely the same thing, but I paid $65 for a CIB Panic Restaurant for the NES that I only want the box and manual for.. I already have a loose copy and felt I should buy the CIB copy.
Other than that, I paid around $500 (I think... I can't really remember) for about 300 loose NES boxes from 8bitnes.

I don't shop in stores much. Nothing in my area so its mostly online.

I don't think I've ever bought a loose box or booklet.

That said, I HAVE spent a lot of money making sure games are mint (and even then they aren't always).

I don't really care for CIB SNES games, however, for RPG's I'm quite adamant on getting the manual as well as the cart (the box I don't care for much). I think I've paid as high as $12 for a manual, like Final Fantasy III. I remember one time buying a BUNCH of RPG manuals from this eBay seller. I think I paid an average of like $8 per manual.

I bought a Bubble Bobble Part 2 box for $40. I think that's the most I've spent on a box or manual.

That's crazy. Right now on eBay there's a loose manual for $4, a cart and manual for $7 and a complete game for $8. I would've sold you a complete game for $5, I have one or two extra.

Anyway, myself I paid $20 for the manual to Spider-Man 32X from someone here on DP a couple years ago. I also bought two Exodus boxes and one Spiritual Warfare box in a lot from eBay for $17 around the same time.

Somewhere around $5 for me.

Though if I came across the apparently nonexistant Last Blade and Faselei! boxes and manuals, I'd be ready to pay well into the triple digits.

I paid $130 for a flintstones cart and manual. sold the cart for $100 so $30 for the manual. really good deal IMO.

I don't think that I've ever just bought a box or instruction manual, as I only tend to buy games that are complete. Although there are a few GB/GBC carts on eBay that I really should get on & buy, then worry about a box/manual later.

Wow, some of those price are a little crazy $150,$700 for a box and manual I thought me paying $3.50us for a Halo2 book was a little steep. :)

$200 for a NTSC Stadium Events manual, $100 for a NTSC Stadium Events box. Clearly well worth it. :) Nothing else really stands out except $50 for a Hot Slots box.

The most I've ever paid for a box or manual is $10 for a Street Fighter Collection manual for the Sega Saturn release. The most I've ever sold a box or manual for is $30, via eBay, for a Suikoden II back insert.

Most of the amount I paid was shipping and I already had the cart and box. The only manual that was on Ebay when I needed one was the BIN I clicked on. Not my first choice for a seller or price but I couldn't wait around for other auctions or listings, I needed it right away.
