For the Atari 2600:

You are a guy in a 2600 game which you first jump over a Dragon or something, and run in a castle. When you're in a castle, you must collect many stuff by running around and must not get hit by the dragon below you. When you leave the room, you run foward and jump over that Dragon again, and go in the castle and collect stuff again, and etc.

That's all I remember, I remember playing it on a emulator many years ago.

That is, my friend, with 99% certainty, Dragonfire.

I always prefered the Intellivision version, but then again, I prefer the Intellivision period. :D

Too funny, just today I broke the shrinkwrap on the copy of Dragonfire for the Intellivision that I received last week so I could test it. It wasn't very fun.

And yes, I open my shrinkwrapped games, unless I have duplicates.

Thar be my Fiance's favorite 2600 game right there. I've seen her blow thru the 8 'levels' and then continue to beat #8 over and over again while I struggle to even make it to castle #4 or #5.

This is grounds for a ban from the site in my opinion, I have emailed a moderator about the matter. Opening vintage or classic games is not something that is tolerated on these boards, and the fact that you take delight in doing so is the most disgusting part. Your lack of respect for classic games has offended me personally to a great degree.

I think an apology is in order. It will by no means rectify the situation, but it can at least get you headed in the right direction towards some sort of recovery.

EDIT: After blowing off some steam by alphabetizing my sealed dreamcast games (in the buck ofcouse) I have come to the conclusion I may of come off a little rough. My intention is not to be harsh but to make sure you understand the severity of your actions. Its impervious to squelch a blaze before it spreads, or to lick an ice cream cone before it melts.

To each their own, I guess. This game was, is, and always will be one of my favorite games.

The horror! If I wanted to play a sealed game, i'd trade it for a complete copy and something else. That way you get something in return, but more importantly, you keep OOP sealed and stop the destruction of their poor population.

You're overlooking the important fact that dgdgagdae just made everybody else's sealed copy rarer, and thus more valuable. I think the classic collecting community should be THANKING dgdgagdae!

Geez people clam down!

Anyway, this is the game!

Still love this game after all these years.

But my god those Atari emulators are not good enough for me, makes me want to get the damn thing.

Are there even any decent Atari USB paddles for a computer? It's a different world using a joystick, controller or keyboard for a game that used the paddles.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Oh, and nice one Kroogah!

You're overlooking the fact that I don't have a frigging clue how to make smileys or insert pictures in this new board! ARGH!

It's really not very hard...

:) :p

And as a mod of this forum I have to now admit that since someone has gone and gotten upset about the horrible raping of that Dragonfire game that had been nice and safe in its shrink for the last 20odd years we are looking into some kind of banning/real life beatdown of the offending parties.

/me gives those damn buggers that open sealed games a stern look

Ha, didn't know what I was starting here! I'm one of those types that just doesn't see the point of the glare on the shrinkwrapped box on the shelf. True, I like my collectibles to be in as good a condition as possible, but they are games, after all. Part of the fun of collecting classic games is that you can look at them AND play them. For those of you who think that's a crime, maybe you should switch to Precious Moments figurines or something else that you can just look at? Oh, and I'll give a smiley face for that one. :)
