Well, a friend of mine in France created a radio station just for shoot 'em up music, you know like Gradius, R-Type, and more.

Well after some talking with my friend, I'm starting a radio station with shmup music that's located in the states.

It's cool, here are the links:

French Station: http://shmup4ever.servemp3.com:8000/stream.mp3.m3u
USA Station: http://74.226.237.184:8000/stream.mp3.m3u

Both are 56k stream and are running from our homes (laughs).

If you want more information, read here:

Just sharing to the old-school. ;)

Wow! this is cool...perhaps you can mirror it somewhere if the traffic gets too much

This is cool. It seems like half the songs are from Gradius V, though.

Awesome stuff......Fighter17 you just became my new personal hero :D
I listened for a few hours with no buffering.

http://pcenginebible.roarvgm.com/Omake-mp3.htm has alot of music for
the PCE shooters. I love the wacky Ai Cho Aniki stuff.

Chris Kline of http://www.vertexguy.com/music/subcat.htm has
some kickass game music. For you Winds/Lords of Thunder fans
he has a sweet cover of Dezant and the Contra Jungle Jam which I linked in my sig.

I guess it keep shuffles to Gradius V stuff. >.>

Anyway, I'll add more soundtracks to the list tomorrow, like Lords of Thunder. :)

I'll ask here while I'm at DP.

Is your track selection the same as Seb@s tracks? I regret that I haven't tried your's yet but will give it a go tonight (can't at work no sound card on office PC :( ) I been listening to Seb@s over the weekend but haven't had time the last few days or had a chance to give your set up a go (Been playing Gleylancer for Old School tourney ;) )

We have similar songs, but he focus on remixes.

No, our track selection is different.

You are having original tracks!? I'll be listening when at home between Glaylancer runs!

+1 for Fighter17

Remixes are cool but originals are where it at!

I was going to do this years ago over my BSD box and was going to do 128-bit rates, then on the off hours run a video streaming server to watch some of my videos from school. Of course I never got around to it but maybe this summer I'll look back into it.

FYI GleyLancer is a waste of money.

Yeah, just about all of the tracks in the U.S. steam are orginals, but I have a few arranged ones as well.

FYI Gleylancer the best non Compile/non Technosoft shoot them up on Mega Drive/Genesis. The best $55 I spent in the last year. And I got a free XDR to boot when I got it (XDR is the suc).
