I recently bought this game at the flea market and it came in a 2CD case, but it only has 1 disc. So, am I missing a disc or does it only have 1 disc? I looked it up in the online guide, and i didn't mention anything about a 2nd disc.

Twisted Metal 4 is only a 1 disc game, so they must have simply used a 2cd case as a replacement for some reason

Thanks, that's what I figured, but I wasn't sure. I don't know why they would have replaced the original with a broken case.

You'll probably get more use out of the 2 CD case than the actual game, what a piece of garbage that was. Have you gotten a chance to play it yet?

Not yet, I was planning on playing it the next chance I got, but I don't think I'll waste my time now that I've heard how bad it is.

Dont be so quick to judge without playing... personally i thought Twisted Metal 4 was pretty good. We all know 1 + 2 are the best, 3 had some good ideas going on but overall not great, but 4 went back to the style of 2 and succeeded in a lot of ways... Small Brawl was okay too, just very different with the kids theme...

Anyways... If your a twisted metal fan, you will find enough to like, trust me

I agree with the general rule that TM1 and 2 were the peak of the series. Those games are still fun to play, despite the very dated graphics. However I thought Twisted Metal 4 was alot better then 3 and the dreaded "Small Brawl" incident. :p

what small brawl incident? and since we're on the topic, why did twisted metal 3 and 4 suck? i have only ever played 2 (which i love) so im kind of in the dark about this, i know they switched developers to 989 studios, but thats about the extent of it

also, how was twisted metal black?

I guess I must be the only person on earth who prefers TM3 to 1-2. TM4 is easily the weakest save small brawl but seriously Black was agruably the best of them in atmosphere at the least.

I agree 2 is the best in the series and 4 is at least better than 3.

All in all I rather play Rogue Trip than any Twisted Metal.

Well switching developers usually kills a series. That's why Goldeneye on N64 > The World is not Enough and that's why Command and Conquer games sucked after EA took over West Wood studios.

1 is great, 2 is the pinnacle of the series and 3 and 4 are drink coasters.

It's true that Twisted Metal 4 has nothing on the first two games, but it's quite an improvement over TM3 and I actually like it more than Rogue Trip. 989 learned from most of the mistakes they made with TM3 - it's not as buggy and the stages are larger. Most of the drivers aren't worth your time, though. I usually stick with Rob Zombie and the Dragula.

Like TM3, it doesn't feel like a true Twisted Metal game, but I think it holds up well with the other car combat games out there, such as the Vigilante 8 series. Play TM4 at least once, and check out the bedroom stage. I thought the freeway and carnival stages were pretty good too.

Rogue Trip or Twisted Metal 2 ftw.

Also. For what little I did play of Twisted Metal Black I thought the game was pretty good. I did only play multiplayer on a whole two stages though(maybe like ten times though.)
