Is Goo Gone safe for removing stickers from PS1 games?
If it's not, any other ways to get a sticker off safely?

Wd-40 will get them off perfectly every time.

I use a little vegetable oil. Not the best, but it works.

The best way to do this is just to peal off the stickers.

I tried using scowering pads but they damage the disc and the same for scraping leaving scratches.

goo-gone is bad. It has been reported it might even burn/melt threw discs.

Just carefully peal it off.

About WD-40 I never tried but I hear it makes things like new and does wonders of all sorts.

When I buy used PS1 games anymore, I'll always remove whatever price sticker they have right there, just so that they can see if what they applied damages it or not. Otherwise, I won't buy one that has a label applied like that.

With that said, do not ever, ever, EVER peel the label off unless you're sure it's a removable, rather than permanent, label. Removable labels can be removed with some care by peeling, but permanent ones have adhesive that's more powerful than however the mylar's glued on. And since the only thing between the mylar and the label is a layer of ink, well, it doesn't take much to wreck the disc at that point.

The most toughest label I had to peal off was the "Do not remove this or else you will pay full price" at HollyWood video.

I want to try and remove one of those Hollywood video labels from a disc but I figure it may not be worth the trouble to try.
