a few years ago i used to use m.a.m.e quite extensivley to emulate my fave arcade games

just wondering whats the best version to use now on my XP system...

and im looking for a version of it which is easy to use, the version i originally had used windows to show what i had running, allowed me to audit all games ad so on

i managed to save my rom sets so thats no biggie, just need to know the best version

games i realy want to play again are tmnt, aliens vs predator, aliens, tumble pop

any help would be a plus

Mame32 - the Windows version of Mame - is by far the easiest to use because it has a built in front end and is basically ready to run.

Chances are the ROMsets you have are outdated and will need to be updated. You can audit them with ClrMAME Pro (http://www.clrmame.com/) (tutorial! (http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/clrmameguide.htm)).

Seconding Stargate's recommendation of MAME32 (http://mame32qa.classicgaming.gamespy.com/). Make sure you grab the latest update (113.3)
