I see there are several products out now which appear to cover all external surfaces of a DS Lite while still allowing the DS to be opened and played. As I'm not entirely satisfied with the color of my "Coral Pink" model, these sound like a good idea.

Anyone try one of these yet? Are the unobtrusive?

Sounds like something to look in to after getting my Federal tax refund.

I was hoping for Onyx Black, but I got the white. All I truly cared about was that it played.

No one else? They're darn cheap, or at least the ones I linked to are. Hasn't anyone at least seen one before?

Well, now my DS is black on the outside and pink on the inside. Very mammillian.

I guess I wasn't expecting much for two bucks; like the review at DealExtreme says, the top half is a little loose. I certainly wasn't expecting that it would cover up the buttons entirely (the picture does not suggest this), but the unit is still quite usable nonetheless. The Hori protector is probably a little better, though.

This is actually really cool- can you imagine all the dirt and dust that would creep in there otherwise?

Well I purchased the Mario Hori White covers and they work pretty well with the DS Lite. The plastic is glossy and smooth and you cover 90% of the exterior of the DS Lite. The only place is doesn't cover are the hinges. Unfortunately they use some adhesive to stick on, but they don't come off the cover and leave residue on the DS Lite. Overall I recommend the Hori Skin Protectors.
