Tron Man Picture Cart
So we've finally figured out the technology. Gray Games in conjuction with Snailsoft brings you the Tron Man Picture Cart for the Atari 2600. From the mind of Atari Charles, to Snailsoft's amazing code, to F3 Carts from Armin(our hardware designer), to production facilities in both Canada and the United States, we bring you The Tron Man Picture Cart. Retrograding Digital Picture CD technology to the Atari 2600, we bring you the first ever Picture Cart for the Atari 2600.
What is it? Well, picture a Kodak Picture Cd. You pop it in your DVD player and it shows you a slideshow of wonderful family memories. Well, The Tron Man Picture Cart does the same thing except on your Atari 2600. Yes multiple digital pictures on your Atari 2600 of Tron Man(Tron Guy) Jay Maynard. Luckily his Cameltoe isn't as detailed as current digital technology or your Atari 2600 would short circuit.
Extra Info: Snailsoft originally wrote the code at my request after finally finding him. He unfortunately wrote the code to 3F format which means it wouldn't work on an Atari Age board. We were going to have to rewrite the code which changes a lot, because the boards are different. It was doubtful Snailsoft was going to have time, so this project almost dies in the muddy waters of Shitboyan(some with get this reference). Luckily I met up with Armin, who could design and tweak the boards himself. I sent him the code, he did and tweaked the prototype boards and the code worked. Tis whole process includes a whole lot of shipping parts to different places for different stages depending on what needs to be done. The wonderful German Import Tax brings me back to unfond memeories of Canada Customs. But the cart is getting done. We are even getting Snailsoft involved in the last stage of the cart, when it gets sent to 8 Bit Classics for final assembly(cart housing and labels).
