I recently bought pirates! from a pawn shop and it won't stop BLINKING! I was thinking it was my 72-pin but all of my other games work. Any Help?

Have you cleaned the game contacts? Sometimes a little corrosion or dirt can cause a game to not load properly.

A few times. I would think that it was just the cart if I hadn't had it playing the day I brought it home but now I just dont know why it wont work.
What you need to do (assuming you haven't already) is get a screw-bit, open the sucker up and clean the hell out of it. You'd be amazed on how dirty the damn things are, even after multiple cleanings. Using a white eraser works wonders for some reason.

I hope you get it working, it's a classic for sure. I still play it once in a while on my C64. BTW, the remake of Pirates! on the PSP is really really good. I've had the PC version for a while but it is really nice to have this game on a handheld for once. Firaxis did such a good job translating the game to the PSP that it makes me excited about the possibility of bringing civilization to it as well.
