Problem with 360 wireless headset??

Im looking to buy the 360 wireless headset.

I read reports when it first came out that many people were having problems with it like hearing buzzing, ringing, dropping noises, etc

Has MS fixed this problem?

Last I used it (in F.E.A.R.) it worked just fine. I think all of the issues are related to network connections tho, as there were certain times of the day (peak times?) that it did drop out and click here and there.
