This is about the Dual Analog pad (SCHP-1180) that preceeded the Dual Shock we all know and (don't necessarily) love.

I didn't even see this listed in the database. I just got one for a Jackson ($20 USD).
With a six month production run, ability to have force feedback added easily (some already have it), and the small but fiercely loyal group of fans, I wonder how much it's really going to be worth? Maybe it's only worth $15 to $20 right now, but once these things start getting into collectors' hands, I expect the value to go over $100.

I've got a couple of pretty rare things--like a boxed Starpath Frogger, Froggo's Tank Command, and the Saturn Twin Stick, but this pad is probably going to become my collection's centerpiece. I'd say it would fall in the R8 range, give or take one point.

Agree? Disagree?

Agree? Disagree?
Disagree. It might be rare, but i'm pretty sure it will never be expensive (for example: How many expensive joysticks you know for other systems?)
People will only pay high prices for games or unique periphials/hardware.

Completely disagree.

The problem is most people don't discern between the two. I've picked up a used one for $8 at a used music store, and many ebay auctions have them in the system bundles. Most just refer to the Dual Analog as the Dual Shock.

Heck I think I have 2 or 3 total now, just from random auction lots.

I bought it new when it first came out and i still have it in the original box with the instructions. I just kept it and i don't think it's worth anything.

I see them go for cheap all the time. I think the $20 you paid was too much.
