I was wondering how rare people thought 'the guy game' for ps2 is, it was a game banned from retail early in shipment.

It's not. People seem to think it is, but you can still find it pretty easily at many EB/Gamestops. They just jacked up the price after it got "pulled" from the shelves.

It cant be that rare. I see multiple copies of this game everywhere.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but it made more sense than starting a new one.

Is there any difference between the ps2/xbox versions rarity-wise?

This could just be my area, but if it gives you any indication, whenever I see it in stores around here it almost always the Xbox version. Again, that could just be the norm in only my area.

I've seen a few dozen XBOX copies come in through work and maybe only 2 or 3 PS2 ones. That might just be a local thing though.

The ps2 is a more desirable system since its still in production, so the ps2 version has a little bit more desirability to it. alot of games released on both platforms tend to have a noticable value differnece usualy leaning towards ps2 being more valuable.

Speaking of the guy game...why doesn't anybody flip out about child porn? We all see copies of it being sold. Did the 17 year old not take her top off?

Well I would argue that's not child porn because she pretended to be 18 but even if she was 17, she's not a child anymore anyway when she's 17

Because it's probably not CP and most likely a fake story drummed up by the publisher to create a buzz about the game.

If early copies of San Andreas with the Hot Coffee code were pulled from stores, it doesn't make sense why a game with a nude underage girl in it is still easily available. I say it's a conspiracy!

I don't know about the rarity of these games, nor do I care to be honest, the only real world talk I have ever heard about this game was when some 12 year old boy was trying to get his mom to buy it for him. I encountered one instance where the mom was actually taking the bait. I walked up and said to the boys mom, "You know the girls in this game are topless right? And no, they aren't video game girls. It's video of actual women taking their tops off."

That was the fastest I've ever seen a hunk of plastic tossed out of a shopping cart in my life. The little boy had daggers for me. I think he wanted to kick my shins until I died from it. LOL

Lol. Now that is a great story. I remember being in an EB one time with my girlfriend and watching a mom try to buy a GTA game for her 8 or 9 year old son. So I told my girlfriend(very loudly): you know, thats the main problem M rated games have these days--they get purpchased by a parent for their underage kids and then everyone blames everyone else but themselves. As we walked by them I could hear her say "I was getting it for his older cousin". Yeah rightLOL
