I was going through my console stuff and I have a left over sega genesis adapter. It's the MK-1479. I need help from some experts.

Did you just answer your own question?

Isn't that a power adapter for a Sega Genesis? A 3, perhaps?

That model # is an AC adapter for the Genesis console.

It's currently available on a the 'net for about $5 brand new - the back of the box doesn't specify any specific Genesis models it's used for, so it may be for all 3.

The Genesis 3 RF is the same as the Genesis 2 and you can also use a Genesis 2 AC adapter for the Genesis 3. And on the off chance you run in to a CDX AC adapter you can also use that.
