First up, the PSP is freakin' sweet! I've had one since a few months after it launched, and after my Lumines addiction, I did a bit of emulation on it, and then upgraded it to play Mega Man: Powered Up. Then it sat on the bookshelf in my game room while I played everything else. I just got back into the PSP last week, and I'm honestly amazed at how many great games are out for it. Is nobody else still playing it? Just wondering.

Anyway, I noticed that well over half of the used PSP games in stores are without case or manual. When I worked at Gamestop, there were very few caseless PSP games. Is Gamestop just throwing out the cases and manuals like they do with GBA boxes/manuals? We didn't do that then, and it doesn't really make sense for them to do it now. I'm just wondering, because it seems like it's going to be difficult to build up a collection of PSP games without buying most of them new.

Some people loose the cases, even GameCrazy does this. Some of the customers who trade them in, keep saying "Oh we throw away the cases since the game is so small!" and it's like the same trend with GameBoy...people think these disc can take a beating and still keep on ticking since it's in a plastic case. Over the past year, we've had to fix over 25 of these UMD disc because of people mistreating them.

They are probably disposing of the cases to make room. Shelf space is always a premium at GS/EB with 2 new systems to support and advertise. Why not ask the GS you went to? If they are disposing of them, maybe you can offer to take them off their hands. ;) If they're not, then you know that people just don't like to use the PSP case to store their games. Very strange. I hope to hear back on what you hear back from them.

Or maybe they are throwing them away like those apes Anthony1 and Fighter17 would. Those awful chimps!!
