I might've checked it out if it wasn't devoted to the Genesis. I never got into that system and will likely soon be getting rid of all my Genesis games...and probably also some games of other systems. I don't need 15 systems...

The site is really not too easy to navigate- you have vanishing links (white on white when the text link has been clicked), black on black text, and nothing "going on."

It's hard to set up a message board on such a popular thing like the genesis when sites like this or gamefaqs have much larger communities. Not telling you to give up, but you might be wasting your time.

I see your point. However, if everyone took this advice then 50-60% of the message boards on the internet that do get a decent amount of traffic wouldn't exist.

Hmm, checking his board.........over 40 topics and 170 posts. 10 members signed up. So that ain't bad for a new board just getting off the ground even if it is the same 5-6 people doing all of that posting.

i can make a board, ask a bunch of friends to sign up, post a bunch of times and get the same results. posts don't really account for much when they're about what should be added to the site, and the site doesn't really matter unless people post in the sections.

he really needs to do something about the text coloring issues, then he can work on the content. he seems like a young guy, so i'm sure he's trying.

I decided to check it out and I think you've made a good start. Even if the board isn't a success I believe it will be a good experience for you. However, if you keep working on it I think it will have moderate success.

I joined the board and I will leave feedback if I find anything. The only Sega I own is a Game Gear and I won't be able to contribute much.

Good luck on your freshman endeavour!

My advice is to post here every so often and become a semi-regular. If you do that and you have the link to your board in your signature ("Edit Profile") then you will probably find new users trickling in as the months go along. Just my opinion. That will save you the trouble of promoting it in a thread or post, since the link will be right there in your signature for anyone to see.

I was okay with this once or twice, but now this is just a running ad for your forum on our forum.
