Um... Fighting Force? That was a beat 'em up. It wasn't a good one, but it was for the PS1.

Two import-only ones I can think of are Panzer Bandit and Nekketsu Oyako. Panzer is more "anime" style, but has the plane-switching like Guardian Heroes. Nekketsu is like a Fnal Fight/Streets of Rage, albeit with weirder levels (in one level, you fight inside a whale...). Both are actually not that bad, but both are kinda short...

Do you have Crisis Beat? Apparently it's a fighting spinoff from Time Crisis.

Some imports --
Mad Stalker: A port of an X68k game. It's a fun giant robot game where you can get 100+ combos on the later stages. It slows down a lot, though. It also has a 1 on 1 mode where you can play as the bosses.
Captain Commando: I don't own this one yet. All I can say is that it's a Capcom beat 'em up and it regularly sells for 5000+ yen on YJA. I can't imagine what the eBay markup would be...

Panzer Bandit is a terrific take on the Guardian Heroes formula with lovely graphics to boot.
Another Treasure type spin would be for Gunner's Heaven taking the Gunstar Heroes route, another excellent (and often cheap) beat-em-up.
Captain Commando is a port by NEW Corp. (of Little Ralph) from Capcom's 1989 arcade brawler. I'd say it's excellent although a little dated for the high price it commands online. Get the Capcom Classics Collection Volume 2 and play it there instead for about $20 + 20 other games (including many other Capcom beat-em-up's).

Capcom Collection Vol. 2 had some nice beat em up's on there.
Worth every penny spent on it.

I've got Captain Commando for the PSone. It's a very very good conversion and even features 3player via multitap. Don't have a PSone anymore though, so if anyone wants to buy it, shoot me a PM.
It's a shame Capcom didn't release an arcade perfect port of CPS2 Alien v Predator on the PSone. Oh well...

Panzer Bandit and Nekketsu Oyako are both imports.
The only thing that ultimately stops me from owning "Panzer Bandit" is its high price. :(

I can vouch for Fighting Force that game is quite enjoyable. You could also count the Gaunlet games in a way.

Not much there really. Given the sheer number of systems they were selling, Sony could have had a ton of great beat-em-up's released for the Playstation but they were so obsessed with 3D games.

Is Panzer Bandit worth the monies it commands? I am not knowing of these beat them ups but learning of these titles now I like to pursue them sometime. These games sound interesting!

After owning the game, I would say....maybe. It IS a very good game, but it also has too many repetitive enemies. I usually see it for around $80-$90, so its your call. Now that I think about it, I would say no at that price this time, since I bought it for that amount originally. Maybe $60-$65...

I myself am wondering if "Nekketsu Oyako" is worth the $$ it demands.

Mortal Kombat Mythologies-Sub-Zero, while by no means good, most likely qualifies as a beat-'em-up. Aside from that and the Fighting Force games, I really don't know of many others.
Just out of curiosity, would Nightmare Creatures count?

I'm not sure if I would classify the "Road Rash" games as a "beat em up".
Yes you beat up people, but its a racing game first.

tenchu is an action/stealth game. i never played that shaolin game but i thought it was a versus fighter game and not a beat 'em up?

that focuses on combat
and road rash is a racing game.. that....... but anyway shaolin has a story mode game it sure was something special back then haven't played it in a while though, wonder if age has caught up with it?
