This guy on ebay was selling a Super Street Fighter 2. SSF2 art all over the cabinet, SSF2 board inside. Four coin slots? Obviously a conversion, but...
THIS IS THE GODDAMN CONTROL PANEL.

Really, what arcade operator doesn't know what a Street Fighter control panel is supposed to look like? Look at it! YOU CAN'T FUCKING PLAY IT!!

That is so fucking classic. The secret move list is like, "left-left-California-right-Brazil!"

Obviously the designer has an extra arm sticking out of his chest to use the joystick. Why else would someone put it between the punch and kick buttons?

You mean to tell me thats not what all of your guys SFII cabs look like?
That is the funniest thing I have seen in a while. In all seriousness, I kind of want to try it out.

I'd like to see those hot-dog Evolution players (Daigo, etc.) have a match on it.

My soul = hurt.
Not as bad as some of those MAME chop-ups I've seen, but still quite horrible.

You people on this board just dont have the right vision.. you see these special machines were not supposed to go to arcades. These machines in reality were actually clever maps used to show strategic bombing sites and missle silos. These cabinents were supposed to go only to secret spy headquarters arcades where the secret plans would show up on the screen when the special button sequences were pressed.
Now that you all know it is your responsiblity to do the right thing and make sure this special machine doesn't fall into enemy hands.
The rest of your mission is to watch the movie "Cloak & Dagger" with Dabney Coleman and await for further instructions, cause an Atari 5200 version will soon follow!

Yeah, that's what gets me is that if this were some MAME job where a guy took a converted SSF2 and gave it a funky layout because he likes to play Defender that way, it'd be one thing. But this thing is still supposed to be Street Fighter 2. I mean, someone actually intends for people to play SF2 on this creature. I can not get my mind around it.
Maybe it used to be a funky MAME cabinet, and the guy put the SF2 board back in without bothering to restore the controls?
LOL! It seems like it'd be similar to playing Whack-a-mole trying to find the right button :P . I assume it was a REALLY lazy op who did a really bad conversion from a Main Event... notice the similar placement of the buttons and joysticks: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330103646948 ... just added a couple holes in places that went with the flow of the rest of the buttons. I guess it probably looks good to someone who has never played a video game before ;) .

My guess would be that large quantities of alcohol came into play some time during the designing process. Either that, or some illegal narcotic that really hinders judgement. *cough*crack*cough*
