Ok im under 18 and im tight for money my dad likes working with wood and hardware and i love classic video games i was thinking about making an arcade cabnet with a custom wood cabnet sides and fronts and put a mounted monitor in it and hook my NES into that so the system is hooked up to the monitor then i take apart a controller or get a NES arcade stick [ if there is such a thing] and put it under infront of the monitor were the joystick usualy goes

in other words i put a tv inside a custom made arcade cabnet rewire the controller to make it like a arcade controller and hook my NES up to the monirer and controller?

Go for it, can't wait to see it. A few other people have built custom arcade cabinets for NES systems before.

Here's an interesting page about a similar project a guy did in his youth.

Or if you're lucky maybe you can dig up an old Pro-Play Home Arcade, already wired for NES controls.

Anyway, it's nice to see an 18 year old showing love for the NES.

You cant hook the NES up to a real arcade monitor, it lacks a RGB chip. Of course, you can steal one off the Playchoice 10 board, but at that point, just buy a playchoice cab

THANK you. I was trying to find that old link but couldn't. Nice detective work. :)
