I find it nearly impossible to find this game locally. Was this game any good? Compared to the original? I still go back and play Waverace on 64 with my friends all the time. The water physics are still top notch in my opinion and I was wondering if the sequel lived up to its name?

I dont think its as good as n64 version personally but its still good and it has the bonus of a four player mode + Rumble which is nice . I just thought some of the waves felt to choppy and annoying compared to the smoothness of the n64 version but thats all really and the graphics are excellent so i wouldnt call it a let down myself but not improved in any way.

I didn't play the original for any length of time, so I can't compare really, but I enjoyed the shit out of it when I had it. Of course, the difficulty ramped up seriously later on, which is when I moved on to other games.

I am of the opinion that the N64 version was head-and-shoulders above the GC version.

Average, at best.

I just bought my copy of the GC version a few weeks ago, and had trouble finding it, too. However, when I did (at a GameStop), it was $5, so whatever.

It's totally playable, although I agree it isn't as much fun as the N64 version.

I own both, because I was such a fan of the N64 WaveRace, and I'd have to say that while the GC version definitely looks better, it doesn't capture the feeling of the first. It's still a fun little game, but I'd probably play the N64 version of the GC version 10 years from now when I'm waxing nostalgic on those gens.

I've owned the game since around launch, and I think its a very solid racing title. I think the N64 version was better, but Blue Storm is still a good game.
