You humans really don't want to give your money to Gamestop, do you?

Gabriel

Destineer says the game has passed ceritification at Sony and is shipping.

Also, it appears its now a GameStop/EB exclusive.

http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=281730

Oh well. I guess I'll do without.

I love the games on this collection, but not enough to give EB/Gamestop another cent of my money.

I wonder how different this Taito collection will be from the corresponding UK & Jap versions. Why do they make them all different????????

We get the same ones Europe gets, only the Japanese versions are different.

Or the release date has changed and just hasn't been entered in the GS computer yet, I imagine the thing that says ships within 24 hours or whatever is applied automatically when we reach the release date entry in their system.

I'm going to place a order tonight before it becomes backordered, I'm having my doubts about easily finding this at local EB's.

Anyone want to do me a favor. I'll send someone who is credible on this board a money order for the game + shipping + a few extra dollars to snag one for me. I don't have a credit card or I'd just jump online and have one shipped here. If you are interested PM me.

still not out the bad thing with eb, if a game is 20 bucks, they don't do "express shipping into the stores, so the games sometime take a while to show up in retail, you're best bet is the eb site, you can still order pleanty off there, and use the saver code for free two day shipping.

I would never GS my money again but since I was curious to see if this really an EB/GS only product I went to the same Game Stop on different days, andreceived 2 different answers from different clerks To sum up their lies: 1. Not in our system,... won't carry it. 2. It's still active in our system... we got some in last week... can't tell you when it was release but we are going to get more in...don't know when the shipment we'll come I love it when retail clerks just lie!

Actually, you were the one who misspelled it in the first place. I just copied your sentence in my post about the free shipping coupon code. Obviously, you had made it all up, as I have not seen any free shipping code for Taito Legends 2 at all. ROFL!!!

I think it would be more appropriate to say "savings" instead of "saver" imo.

Also, you did have a typo "pleanty" but I think it was supposed to be "plenty."

The point I was really trying to make is that you said there was a free shipping code on EB's website, when in fact there was not. So how do you explain that???

oh ok, I gotcha, now you're the forum spelling police, gotcha, thanks for pointing that out to me... but as for the code, I can see where my message was unclear, anyway, the code is saver, and should been more clear... oh well water under the bridge.

I got a feeling it won't be available in stores, doing a product search at EB for a 200 mile radius yields no results, usually if we're just waiting for it to arrive after the ship/release date it will show the stores within that 200 mile radius and yes or no by each indicating if they're getting a shipment.

I checked 4 game stop and eb stores. All the clerks claim to know nothing about it or say it's online-only. I assume the e-bay sellers might make a nice profit on this.

I received my copy today from ebgames.com and it is good to finally have volume 2 to go with my volume 1. I also had to order mine online, since my local EBGames does not tend to stock some of the obscure or non-AAA titles. I think ordering online is really the only way to get the game quickly. I would not recommend messing with eBay due to the markups in shipping fees, etc.

I called up my local Gamestop yesterday (and for the past week), finally got my hands on a copy of this collection, all great games, with one exception, they used the most soulless version of Puzzle Bobble 2 they could, the Bub and Bob less Bust A Move Again (why that one was picked anyone's guess). he gam feels so cold without those two dinos, as well as the other two dinos it's a shame, thankfully I still own my PSX Bust A Move 2 game.

I'm also wondering why they left the Taito Memories game clock in the main menu, it's not like there's stuff to unlock.

Sounds like its sold decently, apparently EB/GS have decided to stock it in most store locations (Only a handful had been getting shipments previously in urban locations), so you guys will likely be able to get a copy at a store location soon.

I got a copy of it finally and the selection isn't to bad either.

The only thing i'm bitter about is, Cadash and Bubble Symphony were left out since those are only on the Xbox pal version....

Still the other good thing i like about "TL2 on the PS2 is you can use the Saturn PS2 pad on it.

While the original wouldn't allow that becuse of it's analog suport.

Still the way i look at 'it would have been better if, Taito Memorise had a domestic release instead since vol1&2 had it all.

Bah. I just ordered a copy online. Oh well

While I love these collections, it's a shame i'd have to own just about every release to own all of the games.

Also have had mine here for a few days after ordering online. Now today I see each of my local Gamestops list having 1-3 copies in stock at $19.99.

Easily worth it for Elevator Action II alone...

Any unlockable games on the disc? Either on the first one or second one? I saw some codes on some sites, but We could not get any to work. Any help would be great. Any unlockable games on the first Taito Legends game for the PS2 either?

Taito Legends 2 finally arrived....the bad news, is the game disc was loose in the sealed casing, which left a few scars on the disc...fuckin' media mail shipping I never trust...but it could be a factory wrapping error too..

After playing it for a bit, I'm pretty shocked they squeezed 39 games on this damn disc...best freakin' $20 I have spent since Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 2

I checked out the narrowest EB Games store I've ever seen today, and sure enough they had a copy. Of course, it was sold as new even though it was unwrapped, open, and had stickers on the box like a used game. :(

I was at the mall and cruised into Gamestop and asked for the game.. they had 1 copy, but it was the usual "opened, but still new" shpeel.

I asked them if they had a sealed copy, which they didn't, so I told them forget it. If I'm buying something new, I want it new and unopened :P Why the heck do they do that?? :?

Guess I'll snag it online.

They do it so if the case is stolen off the shelf, they only get the case and not the contents, and hopefully that will deter it from happening in the future.

Agreed. 90% of the time it's exactly that. The game has been pulled for display. It probably has never been played. Handled, yes, but unplayed. EB/GameStop put a bit of a quash on borrowing games for play by employees.

I've been an EB/Gamestop employee several times (In college, and between career positions. Thanks Hal!), and it was much diferent several years ago.

What Eb/Gamestop (it's the same company, we need to call them EBstop or something) does these days is pretty annoying. Back in the day they actually took the time to print out display inserts for games instead of gutting copies. I guess the 10 dollars a month per store for printer paper and ink was too much to spend to keep hardcore gamers happy.

Yup. It was in their "clearance section", where they stick all their budget titles and greatest hits. Funny though, as that section is not behind glass like the rest of their games.

And they have an Ace Combat/Sigma Star Saga two pack for the GBA I've been eyeballin' (already have SSS).

The computer store chain Micro Center (or at least the Dallas location) has it too. Along with Raiden III and The Red Star.
