Did a search. Found nothing.

For example can a Super Nintendo do RGB or Component Output?

No older machines are gonna output component; it didn't exist back then.

As for consoles that output RGB as standard via the AV port:

Master System
Megadrive / Genesis (all models)
Saturn
Dreamcast (and VGA)
Playstation / PSone / PS2 / PStwo
SNES mk1
Gamecube
NeoGeo AES

NTSC N64s can be modded for RGB, as can SNES mk2s. The PC Engine can be modded for RGB, but it's a bit more complex though well worth doing. The Neo AES requires a mod to bypass the crap Sony video chip and get decent RGB. It's possible to get true RGB from a NES and a 3DO, but they both require very, very silly missions.

EDIT: Don't Wondermegas need to be modded for RGB? Not entirely sure about the LaserActive either.

What is an MK2 for the sNES and how do you know you have that version? Also is there a link or how to for this mod?

I think he's referring to the second-model SNES (SNES Mini).

I think they might since the Wondermega uses standard composite/s-video outputs...

There's a thread on here with an RGB modded 3DO. Find it and you'll see what I mean. The NES mod requires replacing the PPU in the NES with one from a Playchoice 10 arcade board. Also very crazy and silly, but damn impressive. Although it doesn't work 100%, as some of the colours are off.

Not sure about Atari consoles. I have no idea if the Jaguar does it as standard, or if that's what those Cat Box things were?

Jaguar does RGB.

I've seen Colecovisions, Neo Geos, etc. modded for component, but not sure it makes a difference in video quality.

Is the Snes Mini similar to the Super Famicom Jr? The Junior does not support RGB in anyway... not even through a hardware mod.

Apparently the stock 21-pin RGB cable (Japanese one...not Scart) sucks, and homebrews work better.

I believe the Xbox can be modded to do RGB, but it's a bit of a waste. Analogue RGB on such a console would only be worth it for "old" games...none of which can be displayed at their native resolution on the Xbox (or GC for that matter) so you're better of w/ a proper MAME setup. For new games, use component and play them in 480p.

Related question: is the PSOne LCD RGB? I remember reading somewhere that it was, but I can't find the source.

Xbox outputs RGB as standard; I'm running the XBMC via RGB Scart.

The SNES Mini/Super Fami Jr can do RGB. You just need to replace the Red, Green, and Blue lines that Nintendo 'forgot' to put on the MoBo. See here (http://www.gamesx.com/rgbadd/snes2rgb.htm) on GamesX. And you don't necessarily need to build the amps. I've read of people just running wires direct from the PPU2 to the AV port pins and getting an excellent picture.

Yes, the PSone LCD does take an RGB signal. I have the pinout here on my Mac harddrive somewhere...

So if the PSOne outputs RGB and the LCD accepts RGB, is it already RGB or do I have to mod either piece of equipment?
