View Full Version : Boom Boom Rocket
Soundtrack. Now.
Game is on XBLA today. This is my favorite type of game and, as a musician, I am totally digging the classical remixes (such as "Hall of the Mountain Dude"). I hope EA or Bizarre releases a CD or MP3 soundtrack very soon.

I agree.. I love Smooth Operetta and Valkyries Rising.
Plus the game is pretty damn fun, too.

Downloaded the demo of this and all of a sudden £5.60 has gone missing from my pocket. Awesome game- the soundtrack is really unique, unlike any other rhythm action game I've heard before.

I did the same thing.
Downloaded the demo this morning, me and 2 friends played the fuck out of the 2 songs available. I just had to buy it and did so this evening. I've already cracked top 20 (hard) on one of the tracks. One of the most addicting games I've played in a long time.
Tip: This game is 200x more fun with friends cheering you on.

As soon as I get my 360 hooked back up, I'll getting this, STAT.
I'm glad to see all of the positive comments.

Bringing this one back up from the dead.
I decided to play some of my old XBLA games yesterday to discover that this one had an update. You can now play the game with a guitar controller. It is pretty entertaining, but has a different type of learning curve than your Guitar Heroes as the interface itself is completely different.
If anything, it was fun to play a different variety of songs.
That, and has anyone ponied up for the new track pack? Is it worth the money?

I'm guessing Papastu has, I didn't know you could use the guitar for it either.

This is one of my favorite XBLA games. Though the 10 songs for $10 wasn't the best deal when it came out, now that it has the free guitar update with extra songs, I would consider it a must buy for all music game fans.
I played this a ton when it was released and had friendly competition going with Katchoo. Unlike Guitar Hero/Rock Band, this game is scored mainly on how well you time your notes . If you are going to be a fraction of a second off most of the time, your score will suffer.
I guess I have to check out this new track pack, and maybe Katchoo and I can fight over #1 on the friends leader board again.

I bought the track pack, really it's just more of the same, if you want that then it's worth buying I guess.
For what it's worth, the soundtrack is on iTunes. I begged for that in the first post.

For some reason this game had no staying power with me at all. I enjoyed it for the first little while but I lost interest really quickly.
Usually music rhythm games have alot of replay value for me. Anybody else have the same problem?

Another track pack? Or the free one that they put out quite a while back? I didn't like the music from that pack all that much honestly.
I don't think Katchoo has played it in quite a while (and thus the rankings score, which is medium for some stupid ass reason) you've still got us by a few million points. But then again on hard we've got a few million point cushion over everyone else.
