On Kirby Squeek Sqaud on Nintendo DS. I am at the final boss on the ICE land. But I have beaten the boss a few times but it wont let me go any further. Anyone know what to do?

been awhile since i played. but i think you have to find some more chests to get all the stars/keys/something then the final level opens up in the center of the screen. there should be one star per main level

So I need to go back threw the levels to look for stars/keys/chest etc?
