Actually, not too many beefs to calm min with that. I don't think Mario himself has EVER been cool, and neither has Sonic, (hedgehog with a 'tude? Come on). The rest are pretty good though.

Well IMO there can be no arguing with the guy in #1 but honestly now, Mario? :-/ Link I can agree with, but only since TP hit the shelves. Also no Chris Redfield= bad.

Funny how it's only male characters on the list, unless they're planning a chicks-only sequel next week. You'd have thought Lara would be in there somewhere, or Chun-Li?

When you look up "Cool" in the dictionary all it says is "see Duke Nukem".

Even if his next game is still MIA, he is still the coolest.

Mario has never and will never be anywhere near as cool as Duke. It is offensive to have him on a list with the likes of Duke.

Sonic was cool for a brief amount of time, but he's long since turned in his "cool" black leather jacket (which most members need to wear, unlike Duke).

There is no way anyone with the name "Cloud" could even be considered anything close to "cool".

Also if you're going to include a Final Fantasy character at least include one that was actually COOL, like Auron, or better yet, Balthier (though he might be a little too recent for the list).

Maybe cause the game sucked. Cool characters can turn into uncool pieces of crap pretty quick if their game is garbage. There are a ton of examples, with Sonic being the first that comes to mind.

Cool characters? Hmmm... I always think the bad guys tend to be cooler. Just me opinion in terms of character design.

I actually went into FFX expecting to hate it, but I've enjoyed it quite a bit, especially the characters.

As for Sonic, I am one of the 1.5 to 2% of the population who likes the 3D games a lot better than any of the Genesis ones. I don't know why but I just do. Keep in mind it (Sonic) is the only series I like better in 3D than 2D because the 2D Mario's and Zelda's are still my favorite.
