Let me just say, I'm hyped. I'm a huge Street Fighter fan and have been talking about how incredible a new version with high definition visuals would be. Well, not only did I get my wish (thanks Capcom!) but I also got it on the most complete version of arguably the best SF game.

Here is some info that has been provided and then the first picture to display how much better the visuals are going to be.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (wow again) for Xbox Live Arcade and PSN mirrors the same tactic Capcom utilized with their Hyper Fighting release - the goods you remember, only with online play. This time, however, Capcom is taking care of business in-house and utilizing the insight that 13 years of worldwide, top-tier competition has brought to the game.

While SSF2T HD is a pixel-for-pixel recreation of the game, they aren't ruling out making slight changes to the game. All redone art is by Udon--who has created the beautiful SF comic book.

Can anyone say --- holy shit? Udon art is phenomenal.

Look at the new, HD Ryu:

I can't believe I'm going to say this but: Who needs SF IV if we're getting this?

Looks sweet but it kinda sucks for people that already bought SF2 (me). I'll still buy this anyway though.

That does look pretty impressive. So it's gonna have real-time online fighting??? That's cool as well.

Yeah, kind of crappy since I already bought it too. But, I generally buy all versions of SF.

Is this just for X-Box Live?

So I wonder how many times Capcom will delay this one?

Yet another SSF rerelease... :-/ Having got the game on 3DO, XBLA, GBA (which isn't a bad conversion despite what people say), Mega Drive and as part of Hyper streetfighter for the PS2, I was pleasantly surprised to run into it yet again in my copy of capcom classics 2 I received this morning. Now I doscover this- the very least they can do is offer a trade-in for xbla owners who bought the original...

P.S. who wants to bet we'll see SSF2 on the virtual console too?

Never really been a big fan of these Street Fighter puzzle games, but with online play it might be fun :)

I concur that Dudley rules. :D

I also concur that I'm not as stoked about this as I can be. SF2 already has about 20+ renditions of it, and nice as it looks, I'm not sure we need another one. Buuuuuut... what can I say, I'm a hopeless SF fan. That, and at least it says to me that Capcom still has some interest in the series.

Don't be getting too excited (http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?action=showpost&postid=326031914). At least it won't be stretched (http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?action=showpost&postid=326034389).

One of these days, those dry, overmilked udders on the SF franchise cow are going to have to dry completely up, giving off nothing but dust.

In other words, count me out for this.

Looks quite nice. I'm sure I'll snag it once it's out.

If anyone finds any new screenshots of characters, please do be sure and post them here.

It really doesn't look like we're going to see any animation added. An article posted above references that this would undoubtebly change the hit boxes and thus change the game dramatically. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The dust will promptly be followed by Super Dust, Super Dust Ex Plus Alpha Turbo, and Super Dust Alpha Zero 6 World Edition Rev 2.

And people will buy them and praise Capcom for not forgetting the fans of dust.

Has Capcom really done anything vaguely original in terms of fighting games since Marvel vs Capcom 2 or Capcom Fighting Evolution (which sucked by all accounts) ?

I was way more interested in the announcement that dealt with Capcom bringing the board game Talisman to XBLA.
