I've been looking into collecting games for the N-Gage lately, but I'm having a hard time finding out which games got a full, physical release in the US, and which ones were download only. Can anyone give me a list of games that actually made it to store shelves?
Currently, the ones that are perplexing me the most are Asphalt Urban GT 2, Civilization, Pathway to Glory: Ikusa Islands, Payload, Warhammer 40,000, and X-Men Legends 2, so if nobody knows the full rundown, just knowing which of those games were download only would help me a lot.
Thanks! :)

I believe all of those games had actual physical releases. The only one I am not so sure about is Payload. Hope this helps.

Payload was not physically released. I do believe it could have been downloaded, but not on a cart. I have a complete US collection including online exclusives

It's all in there I think.

Great, thanks. This does clear it up a lot. I'm guessing I'll have to look pretty hard to find the ones that were only sold online. And so the fun begins... :)

The beauty of collecting for n-gage is that 99.9% of the games are dirt cheap.
Many of the games are hard to find, but when you do find them, they will probably not run more than $15 (and that is for the physical online-only releases).
Also, if you are collecting for it, snag up a copy of splinter cell: team stealth or whatever its called (not chaos theory, but the other one). I say that because I had a tough time finding that one. I only paid like $5 when I did find it, but it took forever for me to find.

Semi-related, does anyone know how many copies of Rifts: Promise of Power were made?

I am unsure about the exact number of copies, even though we all know that it was a limited release. I did come to find out that there are 2 versions that came out (signed and unsigned). Some of the games were signed by somebody (I don't even remember who), and they were supposed to be very limited, but 90% of everybody I talked to that got a copy from letstalk has gotten a signed copy from there (and I am included in that).

I've ordered 3 and all of them were signed. After the first one I got signed, I ordered another one as I wanted to keep the autographed one sealed. Sure enough, the next one was signed. Then I ordered another, and it was signed. My friend ordered 2 at once, and both were signed. It may be that's all they have left right now, so if you want one, order it now.
BTW, its signed by Kevin Siembieda, the author of the RPG on which the video game is based.

I didn't even notice that my copy was signed when I got it in. That's pretty damn cool.
Wish to hell I could find a copy of High Seize. Is there anywhere else online to look for N-Gage stuff other than letstalk and ebay?

Yeah. My copy of Rifts was signed too. Every copy I've heard of is signed.
I'm guessing there are 2,000 signed copies at most. I'm wondering if that's all there are.
as mentioned in the other thread, all games were released in mmc format except Payload. Even the Spanish titles Barakel, Tech Wars, Freestyle came on mmc with the QD.
The new games like HinterWars and Creatures of the Deep are downloads only.
I'm almost there (still hunting three games).
Not all shown yet on my RoD:

There's a surprisingly good number of quality games on the platform. Pathway to Glory, Ikusa Islands, Pocket Kingdom, Glimmeratti, Glory in Death, Rifts, Catan (!!), and High Seize (from what I hear...I've yet to get a copy damn it :( ) are excellent games and make the console worth owning.
One of these days the games will be emulated and playable on a home PC and then everyone will finally be able to give the system its fair shot. X-Com fans in particular would absolutely love PtG's gameplay.

Blasphemy I say. Lots of the earlier games are mediocre but most of the later ones are quite worthwhile and some of them are downright excellent including some system exclusives. Unfortunately the N-Gage's reputation was trash from the start and no one paid attention when the good games finally came out.
N-Gage is an excellent emulator for many consoles up to the Genesis... I especially like the Gameboy/GBC and Game Gear emulators.
I prefer the original design to the QD. The QD has better battery life and a brighter screen but feels cheap... that damn plastic ring gets on my nerves and the buttons can be mushy. The original fits my hands better and is better built.
I predict that the N-Gage will be highly collectible one day. Get in while you can!
