Just a couple questions about the Complete US release list of N64 titles:

1. How many games for the Nintendo 64 where released in the US?

2. Does anybody have a good checklist/guide they can link for me?

I have found a few online, just looking to see if and what you guys may use.

I had about 80 games before our dealings, so it will be pretty close.

I was past 200 when I lost the winds in my collecting sails and gave up. Most of the games are boxed up and sitting in a basement now. I keep a few of my favorite games at home along with about 15 N64 imports... some of those import games are surprisingly cool.

Good luck with the rest of them! Are you going for carts or completes?

most likely carts only for now as I have only about 25 complete games.

According to the list linked above, there are only 292 US release games. Is this true?

Ok, 3 different lists, 3 different game counts:

Digitpress: 299
Wikipedia: 302
Nintendo: 292

I obviously trust the DP and Nintendo over the Wiki list. I guess I can go through each list and find what games are missing from the lists.

When was Powerpuff girls released?

I think it was the last game released for the console, wasn't it? Or was it THPS 3.

I always thought that there were 305 games, although I'm not sure where I got that number. I must have mixed it up with 302. It depends on what you call a game, though.
Minor differences like the grey and gold Zelda carts could be considered two seperate games (I consider them seperate).

I've got about 250 boxed (about 200 CIB) N64 games. Working my way towards the complete collection... slowly.

THPS 3 was the final N64 release. According to the DP guide, Powerpuff Girls was released October 31, 2001 (http://www.digitpress.com/DP/cmf/game.cmf?gameid=11853), and THPS 3 was released August 20, 2002 (http://www.digitpress.com/DP/cmf/game.cmf?gameid=10843). I remember reading a few stories around the net from people who were surprised to see a new N64 release in stores after the system was pretty much declared dead.

Is there a specific North America N64 games list on Wikipedia? I don't see it. Or are you just using the complete list? From the introduction to the complete list, there should be 306 U.S. releases listed at Wikipedia (396 total releases - 88 Japanese exclusives - 2 European exclusives).

I'd like to try fixing the Wikipedia list if it has mistakes on it, but my quick scan didn't reveal any obvious errors. I wasn't being systematic or comparing the Wikipedia list to DP's list or anythying like that, though, just scanning through.

I actually went through and counted the US releases and came up with that #. I guess I have a lot of free time at work, LOL. I believe when I finalize my deal with Saturnfan on here, I will have somewhere in the ballpark of 250-270 of the N64 US collection. Mind you , most will be loose. I've been buying as many N64 games up as I can find. I guess this will be the bulk of my collection along with my Xbox stuff. Right now, I'm just not interested in anything else.

Myself and other N64 enthusiasts done a bit of researching into the complete list of N64 releases. We counted the total US releases to 296 games. I was curious to see how our list differs from digit press and theres one game that's really baffled us: NHL Blades of Steel 2000. I've never seen any evidence that this game was actually released. Can anyone here confirm the existance of this game on the N64?

Well, The DP lite lists is one of the best to use. Blades of Steel 2000 has was never released. Tony Hawk 3 was the last game on it. I am only 2 boxed games from a boxed set.

As for how hard it is to complete, I definitely would add that it is not as easy as some think. Boxes is a whole other challenge, especially not mangled boxes. Although ISS 2000 is only an R5 in the book, remember that the book is going on being two years old. I have always thought of ISS 2000 being harder to find than it has been given credit for, epically boxed with instructions.
