The cabinet looks really good (although, most cabinets look really good in tiny Internet photos -- you won't notice the dings and scratches until you see it in person, trust me). If I were dying for a Centipede I'd probably pay up to $150-$200 for one that wasn't working. And let's face it, that one doesn't work. All he would have to do to test it is plug it into the wall and turn it on, so I'm guessing "untested" means "it won't power up."

The more I mess around with cabs the less afraid I am of them. I mean, even if EVERYTHING is bad or missing you're only talking about a power supply, a PCB, a trackball and a monitor. Chances are that unless it's been gutted at least some of those parts are there and working.

If this is your first cab then you may have a bit of a learning curve in getting it up and running but there are enough of us here and other places who are willing to lend a virtual hand however possible.

cool, so whats a good price 150? I am not duying for this but it would be cool... it is a game that is fun and dosent really get old. Also as mentioned earlier he has a tempest... I have never played that before ... is it any fun and what is its value?

Thanks!!!

here is what the seller said about the cabinet shape....

The left side looks better than the right side in the picture. The contols area has a little peeling of the decal.Overall looks pretty good. John

Also, how much would you think it would cost to get it working?

Thanks

Well, if it only needs a fuse, about fifteen cents.

If it's missing a power supply, PCB, and needs a new trackball, and a new monitor, about four or five hundred bucks. That doesn't include replacement stickers and a control panel overlay, which could run you another couple hundred bucks if you ended up replacing those.

Thus, the gamble of "untested" games.
