Right so you and a friend or a few friends go down to the market/sale all looking for different game related stuff, after awhile you become aware of what is rare/valuable for certain systems and look for that stuff specifically. Problem is you all know it`s valuable and only one of you can have it (unless you will sell together and split money).

This leads to everyone going into hawk mode, scouring the tables looking for the rare stuff, even outpacing each other to try and get their first. if i see it from 20yards he asks about it as i pick it up, who`s is it.

What i`m trying to say is the fun is quickly leaving the sales as everyone is trying to buy the same stuff constantly, it`s gonna lead to some backstabbing behaviour over f*&^ing videogames!

any thoughts apart from grow up lol

Well my suggestion would be to decide who needs it more. If you and your friends collect the games, and if they already have the game in question then the person who does not have it should be able to purchase it. One of you can always buy it then sell it between your group of friends auction style too :D but I would say just share the game, if you all get along together you can play it at eachothers houses.

If you have to go with your friends, I would say seperate. Take a friend and go to the other side of the market. When you get there, you take one side of an aisle and your friend can take the other side. Then you and your friend can switch sides at the end. This way you can get your products and your friends don't have to know what you paid, or even what you got, if you don't want them to.

I don't take my friends to these type of places. When it comes to etiquette, the first person to pick something up is the person who should get it, assuming he or she has the money to pay for it. If you pick up something, you'd better have enough money. I hardly think a vendor will place it on hold for one of you if another guy is standing five feet away and has money ready at that moment.

the real problem stems from them finding out the prices and rarity for the playstation games i buy, they used to just buy dreamcast and snes/nes stuff.
now it`s like 0o0o0 final fantasy or o0o0o0o grandia etc.

Chalk up another for going alone. I never have as much fun going with others as I have my own methology that really works better going alone plus I avoid problems with fighting over stuff.

I never take people with me unless it is my wife and she's not looking for games ever. I like being alone so I can go my own speed since I usually can get in and out of a place fast if I've been there before and I hate wasting time on others.

you assume right i have no car but i`m always the catalyst for us going. The boot sales we go to are pretty out of the way places, so going alone isnt really an option. i guess i`ll have to just be vigilant and fast.

The problem I have isn't people who want to stay longer than me. I tend to linger around every store I go in that has music or games. So anyone I am with usually wants to bail long before I am ready. I can't get any of my friends to go into a store with me because of this, I've annoyed a lot of them with my shopping habits, so I don't have the same problem with friends wanting to horn in on my claims.

Depending on the place, though, I can be in and out in 2 minutes. That is if I know exactly where to look and what I am looking for.
