Ok, so there is a Vs. Golf on Ebay... its about 7 hours away, not sure if its woth the drive to pick it up....

My questions are first about what is the worth of a Vs. Golf, and next can I change out the games easily for others such as Punch Out and SMB?

Thanks...

Here is a like to it... the guy says he dosent have the key to the back, but I am sure I could get it unlocked if needed.

the games are interchangable by switching the ROM chips. But Punch Out isn't a Vs. game.

I have a Vs. machine and have a SMB kit, a ladies golf kit, and a Castlevania kit. I normally keep it SMB cuase I get nervous changing out the chips.

My Vs. cabinet cost me $125. You shouldn't pay over $150 for a decent one. $200 in good shape.

EDIT - That is a Radarscope conversion - you can tell by the red cabinet. I'd buy that puppy and change it back to Radarscope or Donkey Kong in a heartbeat. The red cabinets are rare.

MY GF talked me out of it... I am just gonna pick up a Playchoice if I ever get the chance :) I like that you can play multiple games on it

For the record, the Playchoice is just a big NES with a different interface. The Vs. Unisystem games are different, content-wise (e.g., Hogan's Alley, Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros., etc.)

Yeah, the Playchoice games pretty much suck. It's funny how your mind can play tricks on you; I had remembered the PlayChoice games being much better than they are. Vs. is definitely the way to go.

I paid $200 for a red sitdown tent Vs. cabinet with Super Mario Brothers on one side and Dr. Mario on the other (I later sold it to Icbrkr for the same price). I know some games involved swapping out ROMs and others involved adding or removing daughter boards, but either way it all looked pretty simple.
