Phantasy Star, II, III, IV maps

Did all of the Phantasy Star games come with maps, just some, or none at all? I get different information everywhere, and the online rarity guide does not mention them, either.

2 and 3 did. 2 also came with a hint book while 3 and 4's hintbooks could be purchased seperately.
