I picked up a NES Sport Set today was wondering if anyone had more info on it. Its nothing like the one that came with the 4 controllers and the wireless thingy.

Comes in a regular Control Deck box French/English however there is a red label that covers the Control Deck logo. The sticker says Sport Set Includes Control Deck, 2 Controllers, Golf and RC Pro AM in French/English.

The styrofoam has sections to allow the 2 games to fit nicely inside the box, the 2 games are in Original boxes and there is an extra and very official looking set of instructions for RC Pro AM on regular size paper.

Where did these come from (Canada of course) but what store had this promo. Is this something that is collectable or are they fairly common. Did the Control Deck version come with RCA cables red/yellow or not this one has em.

It might be European, I think it is. If it's Canadian, it was probably purchased over in Quebec. *rant* Quebec might as well break off from Canada if they insist to be French. Conan OBriens little comedy clip was funny when he went over there. *end of rant*

That should be European. Google around for Euro sites concerning NES. I remember seeing a sports package, I just can't pinpoint it right now.
Check the power supply, heck plug in an NTSC game in it, that'll tell you if it's Euro or not.

Its definatly not European, all the paperwork is from Canada and the RC Pro AM instructions are from Mattel Barrie Ontario.

The Sports Set also include the combo Super Spike V'Ball/Nintendo World Cup (not Golf and RC Pro Am), the set wasn't sold for to long, thats why alot of people didn't his existence.

It was sold all around America, so both Canada and the US had it for sale, for short period, in 1990 i think.
