Hey guys! I just got an e-mail from a customer on eB who bought a SF & SF II lot from me. I last tested the games about 8 weeks ago and all seemed fine, though I must confess.. I didn't try out "everything". I usually only run an intro and play a few minutes and test the save function.

Anyways.. with SF II.. the guy claims that when he brings up the "status menu" the game freezes and he can't exit out of it. Any ideas what would cause such a thing? Could it be just a dead battery? In all honesty.. I don't remember how or where in SF II one "saves" their progress.. is it from the status menu?

Cart & chip hardware/components rarely ever fail (except the battery).. so I'm wondering what could cause such an "in-game" glitch.

Thanks for your time and attention.

Problem resolved. I called the buyer out on this one. I normally don't offer refunds and the game was tested before I listed it.. but in this case the buyer didn't get irate and accusatory, so I felt I owed him something. I wrote him a letter last night telling him that I would gladly refund him his money if he sent the game back.. but I also.. just for the fuck of it.. told him that I mark all of my games internally (and NOT on the cart casing.. so switching PCBs wouldn't work) so I'd check it for a switch out. Buyer wrote me back today and told me that the game had mysteriously started working fine. Hmmm.. :? :hmm:
