Iīve recently bought a bunch of zapper games. Most of them work and I can se the white square around the targetobjects when I press the trigger. But in some games I cant hit any targets. I dont even see the white square when I shoot. Any ideas what can cause this??
I connect to the 2:nd port.
I have tried another zapper.
Itīs not a plasma or a LCD tv. Its a regular hitachi 28". And games like duck hunt is working perfectly fine but two games for example, "Trick shooting" and "Back to Earth" does not work.
Glad for any ideas!

are you using the grey zapper or the red zapper?
the grey zapper should work on everything. the red zapper probably won't work because nintendo caved in to pressure to make the zapper "safer," (hence the red color), which makes it less effective.

... what the hell does the color of the plastic casing have to do with the zapper mechanism itself? Seriously, what?

That's got to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read.

Try the games on a different TV to see if it is the TV.
Also, maybe you have some weird lighting going on in the room that is throwing off the zapper? Probably a long shot, but try playing in the dark or something...

Also, if there's a power indicator light on your TV, cover it when using your Zapper.

Do what I always had to do with light gun games; adjust the brightness and contrast on your TV set.

Just point the gun at a bright incandescent light, you'll win every time.
Might also be a good diagnostic.
