anyone played this yet? I played a bunch tonight and Im psyched. It controls surprisingly well, though there are a lot of menu subsystems to navigate through at times. I can imagine it getting pretty hectic.

Some of the text is too small for me to read on my non-HD tv, having a nicer set would help me out a lot.

Also, none of my xbox live matches will work! It will start the game, but I will get 1-2 buildings in to it and all of a sudden it says I'm victorious. It happened 3 times in a row. anyone else have this problem?

Either way, I want to get this when it comes out. Although I do have a good PC, I might as well just get it for that.........

Does this game have mouse/keyboard support?

I do not want mouse and keyboard support on the 360, EVER. If I want to play a game with a mouse and keyboard, I'll sit hunched over my computer desk and do that. If I want to play competitive console gaming, I just want to relax and use a controller.

If mouse and keyboard support was added to games, I'd have to put a table between my TV and I, and HAVE to use a mouse and keyboard in order to be competetive.

If you can't afford Mouse/Keyboard gaming(A decent PC), then too bad.

I agree. I use a console for a reason. I prefer consoles for gaming over computers and I prefer controllers over keyboards and mice also. If you really want to use a keyboard and mouse use a pc.

First off, support does not mean mandatory to use. Its like racing games got support to use wheels. It doesnt mean you have to buy a $100+ wheel to be able to play it. Second, i already beaten all campaings on the PC version so dont worry about me. Third, i dont even want the 360 version lol. As mentioned, i already have the PC version, i just asked if it was supported in the 360 version.

Mouse/keyboard support is sorta already added to 360 so pity for you. What i mean with support is the crossover with Vista, i.e Shadowrun. Both the PC and 360 version will be able to play against eachother and, you guessed it, Vista got mouse/keyboard support ;) More and more games will support this feature. Does this mean that you wont be able to compete online? Same goes for racing games since they support racing wheels, cant you compete online if you dont have one of these?

The annoying thing is that it's 100% of the time PC gamers crying about keyboard mouse support. And of these people 90% of them already have the game in question. So if you really prefer keyboard mouse then use your PC. But us console people don't want anything to do with the keyboard and mouse. Plus when you consider the fact that if keyboard mouse support is in these games the developers will spend 95% of their time testing it with that (since that control scheme is burned into their brains from the original development) and will completely short change controller testing. The 360 is a CONSOLE. Consoles use CONTROLLERS. It's just so tiring hearing pc gamers whine about keyboard mouse. I don't mean to be rude (and I'm probably sounding that way, sorry) but would you like us 360 players to complain about every PC game that doesn't support the 360 controller that's available for the pc? Somehow I don't think so....

I did not know there was a demo out yet! I'll have to check that out! :D
On the small text you were talking about is it hard to read because of it being small or blurry? I also do not have an HDTV yet and I rember I had trouble reading the text in Dead Rising. I also did not have my 360 hooked up via component at the time so when I switiched it over It did help a little.
Looking forward to how C&C turns out. :)

After learning my lesson with Battle for Middle Earth 2 on the 360, I will never buy a RTS on a console again. BFME2 wasn't a bad game at all, but the control was so slow and dumbed down compared to the PC version, that it became a chore to play. I suspect C&C3 will be the same. I have the PC version of C&C3 and will stick with that. RTS games need mouse/keyboard control IMO. To each their own.

You dont sound rude, but you're making big assumptions and are putting people in booths. I own like 10 different consoles and i actually just came back from some Super Adventure Island on the SNES. Does that make me a PC or a console gamer? I also play 360, does that make me "one of you 360 guys" or am i still stuck in the PC-gaming category because i play PC too? Please explain, i'm confused how you put people in this category and why.

Who is whining and complaining? My question was simple and straight forward, a yes or no answer would be enough. You assumed that my question was a complaint (for some odd reason i dont know why), but i didnt mention anything what i prefered or said anything negative about a controller. Eventho i prefer keyboard and mouse it doesnt mean i'm whining about the controller. Its like i prefer to drive instead of taking the bus. It doesnt mean i hate the bus and are whining about it. So.. where is the whining? Ironicly you're the one whos whining here hehe.

Also, i'm pretty sure the 360 controller would or could support all PC games. Its just to program some drivers. Besides, the 360 controller is already good compatible with PC. Anyway, this discussion is rather pointless. I just asked a simple yes or no question. If you know the answer please tell me, but i'm not interested in whining.

i hope you get some kind of tumor if youre against mouse/keyboard support on the 360. screw you, if you dont like it dont use it, i for one would love it for certain games.

on topic: i finished C&C3 on the pc with all factions, and towards the end, i was having trouble keeping up with all the stuff with amouse and keyboard, i CANT IMAGINE being able to navigate 3 fronts while churning out units from 4 factories at once, and still making sure youre retarded troops shoot back when they see people attacking one of your 3 bases.

argh. on a side note, the game is great =] if you like C&C

yeah, why the hell would you guys want to play an RTS with a controller?

Would you try to play Forza with the left and right directional buttons on a keyboard? Cause that's how impractical an RTS with a standard joypad is.

I tried out the 360 demo and sure enough...it has gimpy controls. Same impractical and excessive button pushing just to get certain tasks done. Also, it doesn't look as nice as the PC version (not a big deal). If you don't have a gaming computer, C&C3 will probably be fun...but you're going to have to work for it. Too many goofy button combo's.

When you play a RTS on a console you're getting less of an experience.

Maybe I'm missing the point of this all, but a console is a computer and a keyboard is a controller. If it's all hardware and software, what's the big deal?

The advantages with a keyboard are having 40+ buttons you could press at any given time. Half that if you are using a mouse with one hand. With a gamepad you have maybe 8 buttons, half that if you are using both analog sticks.

From what I played of the demo, I had no real complaints. Sure it was a little strange at first, but how many RTS games have I played with a gamepad? A couple hours later, I had no troubles at all. Was I 0.15 milliseconds slower or faster than if I had a keyboard? Sure. But who the hell cares, as it's Command and Conquer and not Red Alert.

God. What are these people thinking? Wanting to use hardware that will make your experience more enjoyable. Im personally hoping and praying for mouse and keyboard support for it. Also, people using the 'keyboard and mouse belong on the PC' idea are fucksticks. I like when game manufacturers give me options. Its better than them going "Oh shit, we cant add mouse/keyboard support, dudebro's gonna have to put a table between him and his TV."

But more on topic, I went apeshit when I found out the demo was playable on live, and had a real good time with it. I'd guess the game telling you that you've won is because the loser you were playing against quit.
