what is the difference between the carts? im talking about like the regular cart and the r6/r7 carts?

The carts are the same. If it a R6 or R7 depends on the title of the game.

You're question confuses me. As jajaja said, it's the title of the game that makes it an R6 or 7. R7s had a smaller production run than R6s so therefore are rarer.
R6 (Blackjack):

R7 (Challenge of the Dragon):

The two carts look different because they are both unlicensed and released by two different companies.

Well, here's an honest answer for you.
K, You don't seem to be understanding this. R7, R6, Rwhatever from 1-10 is the relative rarity of a particular game. These rarities were thought out by collectors based on how easy or hard a game is to find.
Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt turns up everywhere you go - That means it is an R1
There are only about 10 NWC's circulating - Thats means it is an R10
The manufacturer's of the games didn't know how rare a game was going to be when they made it (that is just silly), so that is why you can't find the rarity listed on the game anywhere (which is also why people are laughing at you).
You can find out the rarity of games for any consoles on Digital Press's Online Rarity Guide. Check it out HERE (http://www.digitpress.com/DP/cmf/search.cmf)

you guys are a bunch of stupid pricks!
the R is what i didn't understand. i didn't know if it was a special label or some classification of cart that was just hard to find(variation.) the r standing for rarity does make a lot of since. thanks jumpman. you have to be the last decent person on these damn boards

Hey, I just got a good laugh at your question. Don't accuss someone of being a "stupid prick" when you ask questions like: Is the games rarity printed on the back label.

david i don't remember anything you have ever said in any of my various post as being helpful. everything was more of a "lets poke fun at the man that doesn't know".
sorry i haven't been into this stuff since i was a kid. i just got back into collecting games about a year ago so there is still a lot i have yet to learn.

Damn, settle down. It's amazing how some people can't take good-natured ribbing from strangers on the internet. Nobody called you a subhuman brain-dead tard or insulted your mom. You asked a silly Q and got some laughs. No malice intended.

Well, now that you understand what it means, you have to admit your question was pretty funny. You certainly can't blame people for running with a good joke. Someone was bound to give you a serious answer before long so there's no harm done in some jokes. It's what makes for a good online community. Helpful *AND* humorous.

Wait, you're not a kid? Holy shit. Usually only eleventeen year-olds blow up like that.
Generally, this community is very accepting of newbs, but, if you act like a ass, you get it in return.
Your question was pretty damn funny. The way you worded it, you were begging for it.
That said, don't call people pricks around here, k?

Quite frankly I believe the problem is spanks_4 has recently joined the collective portion of gaming and has too many question and doesn't have a high tolerance for researching.

hey spanks welcome back to the collecting! Dont worry about it dude, i used to be a little confused as well about the R ratings and stuff. And honestly with all the phrases like r7, PAL, Ntsc, numbers on the back of carts etc. it all can get pretty confusing. But im sure these guys werent trying to be so called "pricks" they were just playing around and it was pretty funny. I still cant believe someone actually had the time to take a pic of a back of a cart, edit it and upload it, but hey if ya areent doing anything else. i guess why not for a a good laugh. it was pretty funny. LOL Anyways welcome to the boards and let us know if ya have any more questions :-)

You have to admit that the question was worth at least 2k monies, dude. You're ok, take a deep breath and play some Kirby's Avalanche or something.
The R rating is a strange thing to me, too. Out in the Wild, hunting for games I come across a hell of alot more r4's thru r6's than I do on r1's and r2's, which to me says that those are rarer for me to find. It's all relative to where you live, shop and look. Happy hunting, man!!!
And, hey, we're not all pricks. Brush it off and have a nice time collecting, bro. Enjoy
