The system is called the Cougar Boy or in Europe its called the Mega Duck. The system looks like the orginal gameboy with green buttons instead of red and it only has a 14 game library.

Where did you hear there are only 14 games? Sounds like I'm closer than I thought...

I looked the system up a while ago and it had all the tech specs.

My MegaDuck story,

In 1994, while stationed on a U.S.Navy ship, I purchased a MegaDuck and games.

It started when we were making preparations for a 6 month deployment in the Mediteranean Sea and Persian Gulf. The person in charge of the Ship's store was asking around what people would like the store to stock up on while we were away from the U.S. for 6 months. I let him know that at least 10 people had a gameboy and were interested in getting more games during those 6 months.

Once we left the U.S., the ship store opened and we found out instead of getting Gameboy, he had gotten This gameboy like system and games called the MegaDuck. The system cost $48.00 and came with the system, batteries, earphones and the 4 in 1 game. There was also 13 other games for $11.00 each. I believe there was only 3 systems and 3 of each game.

The people who bought the system found that the games were pretty simple clones of some of the popular games but not done as well. It did not measure up to even the worst of the gameboy games.

Being a collector of games though, I bought the system and all 13 games.

These are the games I have:

MD002 Street Rider
MD003 Bomb Disposer
MD004 Vex
MD005 Sulieman's Treasure
MD006 Arctic Zone
MD007 Magic Maze
MD008 Puppet Knight
MD009 Trrap and Turn
MD010 Pile Wonder
MD013 Black Forest Tale
MD014 Armour Force
MD018 Snake Roy
MD019 Railway
MD035 4 in 1 (Excalibur World,Dice Block,Trouble Zone,Virus Attack)

Since then I have not seen any of these in the wild.

Currently these are sitting in a box in storage(and I am not willing to sell them).

I enjoy you story of military deproyment. US government action is to world like MegaDuck is to Gameboy.

I have MegaDuck flying in mail with games. I regret it is such that a game as said is of little interest as Supervision, another console of questionable sexual orientation. Nevertheless, as collector being, I intend to keep. Perhaps when space low, liquidate I will.
