Retrogaming Roundtable FAQ

Here you can find answers to questions about how the board works. Use the links or search box below to find your way around.

Gamertags and Gaming Profiles

We want to see what you have to write and photos of your collection, but we also want to play video games with you! The Retrogaming Roundtable has many social gamers who want to play online in multi-player games. But before we can all game on, we need to know your basic gamer profile information so that we can add you to our friends lists.

Go to Settings => Edit Profile to add your Xbox Gamertag and other gaming profile names. As of this writing, we have fields for Xbox LIVE, Nintendo Wii, PSN, Nintendo DS, 3DS Friend Codes, and Steam. Add as many as you can so we can play competitive and cooperative multi-player games online. See you there!

Choose a Custom Rank Image

There are many ways in which you can customize your profile here at DP beyond just the usual stuff you find at various forums. At the Retrogaming Roundtable you can specify things like your Xbox LIVE Gamertag as well as picking a custom video-game themed rank icon graphic for your profile. Keep in mind that if you use a Custom Rank Image then you won't see the usual rank images which progress to show more items as you post more around here. It's a trade-off to keep both options interesting and you can always change to whichever you want.

To pick one of your favorites, go to Settings => Edit Profile, select a Custom Rank Image, and then use the Save Changes button to apply your selection. To see our smorgasbord of images, please visit the custom rank graphics thread on the Roundtable. There are dozens of graphics to choose from so find one you like for the rest of the world to see! If you wish to return to the standard progressive rank images, follow these same steps but choose the blank option at the beginning of the Custom Rank Image list. We look forward to seeing which you choose!
