Killing a goat for food is ok
Killing a goat for clothing is ok
Killing a goat to use it as a centre peice for serving Offal (which is cooked organs, in this case lamb organs) apparently isn't.
That's not what I said at all, was it?

I'm afraid i just don't see the difference. The animal was bred to be slaughter, was slaughtered. This particular one was just purchased from the butcher before being cut up into proper meat cuts. I don't see it as being any different then buying a side of beed.

The fact it was used during a feast to promote GoW2 is completely irrelevant to me. I see it as no different then a family buying a goat for a themed party they were having.
The fact that you choose not to recognize the very significant difference really has no bearing on the matter, if you're not capable of understanding how it's different, then you should probably stay out of the discussion. However, I'm sure that if you thought about it briefly rather than defending this stuff on reflex, you'd see pretty clearly what the difference is. And at the same time answer your own question of who's to draw the line.

Also you're not talking ethics, you're talking morals. There's a big differnce and morals are very much unique to individuals and to groups.
There's no difference. That's an imaginary distinction people like to make sometimes if they still want to believe in ideals, but don't want other people's ideals to have to apply to them. Ethics and morals are the same thing. Or more specifically, ethics depends on morals for meaning.

That's a very pig headed an arrogant stance. You state that there's no difference but you don't really prove it. YOu're just stating your beleifs over and over again.

You're entitled to your opinions and i'm tried of arguing what's essentially opinon. So i'm going to bow out of this argument just like Matt did. I still beleive you are wrong, but it's not worth my time to keep responding.

Oh and there is a real difference between Morals and Ethics. http://atheism.about.com/od/philosop...s/p/Ethics.htm

I'm of the mind that the story is most likely fake. For me the discussion is more about rather it would be right or wrong, not whether or not it happened or if any one should be disciplined for it.

    Saw painted breasts too.

That website is an electronic tabloid rag. Kate Moss? Why do people care about her?

Already dead goat served at a Greek themed party...as long as the meat didn't go to waste who cares?

It is true, and was a really dumb move. If your going to throw some decadent party with women with their tits out, and a dead animal lying around just keep it amongst yourselves, don't publish pictures of it in a magazine little kids buy.

I wonder if so many people would be defending it if the event had naked men waving their penises about and a dead dog to eat instead (yes they eat dogs in some parts of the world). It's essentially the same thing.

I am left wondering. How many goats would Sony have to "sacrifice" to get these PS3's moving off shelves? I'd say about 300 goats... or 20 Jews.

(Before I get flamed, I'd like to point out, that was complete sarcasm. IF Sony did do anything in distaste, I'm honestly not suprised. Though I'm not thrilled about any mistreatment of animals.)

All I want for Christmas is a dead goat and a PSP! Way to screw the pooch there guys... again. :P

Dogs are overrated and nude hetero-bonding man parties sound like a great way to get closer to other men without involving sex.

If I had a Jynx think of the things we can do together. She also kisses alot.

    I completely agree.

Oh, and by the way, there were a few other ancient Grecian rituals I think they should have incorporated. Like homosexuality. In ancient Greek culture, homosexuality was very common. In fact, many Greeks partook in pederasty (sex between an older man and a younger boy, which had often been kidnapped). Plato once described Socrates as "boy crazy," and it is suspected that he was executed for having sex with one too many little boys.

For God of War III I hope to see not only more headless goats but also a huge bath house with a whole lotta lovin' goin' on.

My first thought was that this was an Onion-esque online newspaper, all satire.

Then I saw a teaser for another article about Saudi's having a beauty pageant for camels, which I had seen on yahoo news.

So, I dunno! Could be that they mix wacky fake stories with wacky real stories.

And three cheers for the painted breasts! Now if they could just paint her skirt, too...

    If only.

Ah the Daily Mail. At least the Sun recognises it's own stupidity. The guy they get a comment from, Keith Vaz, seems to be setting himself up as a bit of a rubbish version of Jack Thompson. Luckily no one really pays any attention to him.

I wonder how much the recalled mags will be worth in the future?

I'm also wondering how this happened. Who decided to pull the plug, especially so late on after inital copies had been sent out? Someone at Sony must have thought it would be a good idea to hold the event in the first place, so why not report it? The PR guys are either quite cunning, or someone's going to end up fired from the looks of things!

Normally, I don't nitpick people's spelling mistakes, but Vagitarians? Are those people who only eat...nevermind.

I don't understand all the sudden outrage. Sony's been cruel to animals for years now. Doesn't anyone remember Spawn the Eternal or My Street?
