Noisy PS2

I just bought a PS2 for $15 at goodwill this morning. Loaded up a game fine, but clicks somewhat loudly whenever it is reading from the disc. Any suggestions on where I should start looking to get this fixed?

Likely needs some new gears or gear for laser travel. Hopefully needs nothing else.

If it's not broke... Don't fix it. :P :P

A slipping gear will not heal itself. It will cause DRE's, in mid game play.

But if random irrecoverable game interruptions are acceptable, hey, maybe it will add some excitement! =)
