Probably an easy fix

Howdy all. I just picked up a Gunforce cabinet from someone. When I was on site the picture was crisp and clean. I loaded it into my Honda Element on its back and drove it home (about 2 miles). When I fired it up here the bottom corner is greenish and half of the monitor has lines through it. Did I damage this thing or is it just some adjustment that needs to be made. Here are some pictures. I hope just an adjustment.

Youre right about the simple fix. looks like a loose connection somewhere.

As for the green splotch - a simple degaussing should take care of that. Thats a normal occurance when moving aorund older CRT monitors

Thanks for the tips guys. I checked connections but have not fixed the problem yet. Will work on it more tomorrow.
As far as the degaussing goes, what is the best cheapest way to do it?

I'd use stonics third bit of advice.

At $20-30, A degaussing coil is probably the cheapest and safest way to demagnetize your monitor. And you can keep it around for your CRT tv or future degaussing needs.

This thing is a godsend on my pac man's original 1980 electrohome G07. I use it every few months, and it still looks like a brand new monitor.

Well after days of trying various cheap methods and calling every store in the area looking for a degaussing coil. ( Does Radio Shack actually carry anything)
I scrapped an old eMac in my basement and stole the degaussing coil from that. (Emac had a bad logic board) Hooked it up to an old stereo power cord and voila. Monitor degaussed. now on to the lines. I tried unplugging and plugging back in everything I could see but I still get those red lines. Those are a mere afterthought to me right now. I dont know anything more rewarding than trying something and having it work.

Just thought I would add that plug in drills and hair clippers can also be used to Degauss with in a pinch, actually drills work pretty well.

The lines could be a few things... it looks like the picture is wrapping over the bottom and back up the screen... if that's what's happening, try adjusting the vertical position and/or vertical size (and make sure the potentiometer didn't break). You could also try turning the screen control down on the flyback (it almost looks like raster lines from being too bright, but from the pics it looks like it only goes halfway up the screen). If that doesn't do it, I'd pull the monitor chassis and install a cap kit, and resolder any solder joints that look like they could be bad (usually around large pins that have stress, like yoke connectors, and areas that get hot like around large resistors).
