The sale been on since Saturday
Sonic Riders on the Gamecube & Castlevania Double Pack for me,
I got lucky on Castlevania Double Pack, the lady said they sold out of the game when I called..But when I got Sonic Riders she said I have Castlevania Double Pack in the back..It seems the she had it on hold. But someone bought it for her..So she gave me the copy that was in the back..
My local GS had bins full of the onsale titles. Very cool and surprising to say the least. I picked up the XBox Castlevania for $10 and the PSP Bust a Move for $20.
I can't believe I had written off the PSP Bust A Move! It is the best version since the PS2 Super Bust A Move, filled with many well thought out conditional modes. A prohibitive $40 price point will do that to you I guess.
I got RPG Maker 3 and 24 for the PS2.
Hurray?
RIP Kamino. 1984-2010. Yes, yes I do like nes...
<+skaar> Maybe you should ask yourself "What is it about me that makes men not want to let me penetrate them?"
Actually, the Gamestop here was doing B2G1 on used. Big banners and signs up and everything along with the big bins of on-sale new stuff.
I only got one of the sale items (King's Quest Collection for my sister) but picked up some pricier used games I'd been eyeing for a while with the B2G1.
Picked up Real World Golf (Xbox)....could not find RPG Maker III
I didn't really feel like digging around in the bins (what genius at corporate thought that was a good idea?) so I only picked up Rumble Roses (a good deal for $5) and 25 to Life (probably paid too much for it at $15, but it seems decent from what I've played of it).
The bins at the stores I went to were very organized. I was thinking about causing some trouble there tonight, but I had the family with me. The situation was this: The games all have stickers on them listing the discount from the marked price. I guess some customers were having trouble figuring out what the final price was so they went through and lined out the original price and wrote the sale price in red. I was going to take the game up to the counter and when they charged me the price in red, I was going to demand the discount. For example, I was looking at a PS2 game that was originally 19.98. That price was scratched out and 10.00 was written on the tag in red. Since the sticker said 50% off the marked price, I would expect to get it for 5.00. I know they would try not to, but the sticker said off the marked price, not the original price. Should I go back tomorrow and try to grab some stuff with a double discount?

The bins are very organized, the employees did exactly what they were told to do on account of customers that were having trouble figuring out the final price, and your first instinct is regret over not "causing some trouble" over five dollars?
No, I actually have no regrets about not causing trouble since I had already bought the games that I was interested in. I was merely curious about what they would try to do in that situation. And as far as it being only $5 goes, $5 is a lot when you don't have it. I don't live my life trying to scam people or take advantage of them. Ask any of the people I have traded with. I try to give everyone a fair deal.

You can try it, but they'll deny you. GS has NEVER been known to hand-write anything on their price stickers.
Blockbuster was running a sale similar to this not long ago. Some stores incorrectly gave 50% off the clearance price, while others did things right and gave 50% off the list. It was kinda strange, since all the signs said '50% off', and all the games had clearance stickers on them-which WAS the 50% off price.
Trying to get that bigger discount got me nowhere.
I was back in there today, (killing time while the wife looked at clothes), and I noticed that some items did not have the clearance price written in. I guess the GS clerks couldn't figure that half of $7 was $3.50. They did okay with the whole dollars.

Jimmy Yakapucci, you're a born trouble maker. :P
I went to the local Gamestop in Calexico yesterday and bought KOF "2006" 'new' for $15 + tax. I wanted Rumble Roses but they didn't have copies... so today I went to IV Mall and they had at least eight copies of it there. Brand new with the security seal! o_O I also picked up the second Castlevania game, so I also spent $15 plus tax total.
And I'll probably go back next week to buy some games on their 2 for 1 sale. Cheap ones, but eh.
Edit:
The amusing thing was seeing some of the games on sale on the used bin going for two or three times their sale price. Jayzis...

Im going in tommorow just to try and score and load of those cheapie umd's.
I just picked up a few games from EB. They had a fairly decent selection still. I also picked up a couple copies of Full Auto 2 new for PS3 for 14.99 each.
I went yesterday. Had RPG Maker 3 in my hand but couldn't find a 3rd used game that I wanted. So I put it back and bought Legend of Heroes. Not a gamer day sale item but I've been looking for this game forever. I had a choice between it or PoPoLoCrois way back when so I bought the later. Ever since I've seen PoPoLoCrois everywhere. But it's a great game so I'm not complaining. :P
Still pretty stoked to have found LoH finally. And for cheap. $18.
