Default Where Can I get One of these? (Saturn USB Controller)

I know, I'm stupid for not buying it on lik-sang when it was like 14.95, but I didn't, and now I want one and they don't seem to make em anymore.

Does anyone know where thaey still sell these things? I tried ebay, where I'm sure someone has one up, but I'm not sure exactly what it would be called. A serch for "sega saturn USB" turned up nothing.

    Here's what I'm talking about:

I got my NES one from http://www.retrousb.com/ a couple years ago. It took them 3 months to get it to me and their customer service sucked, but maybe they've improved...

EDIT: looks like they have gone all Nintendo... couldn't hurt to email them.

Strangely enough, I suggested one of these (the pure white one) to my mate the other day. He's been playing around with his AppleTV and wants a USB pad to use with the emulators

I also believe there's a USB version of the Saturn Virtua Stick too.

Why not just pick up an xBox 360 gamepad for your PC? Best PC game pad ever IMO.

    Not for two dimensional gaming.

Might not be a bad idea, though. There are some great (but at the same time crappy for the following reason...) emus that go crazy if there is no analogue stick present in the PC controller. Also, others that assume that the analogue stick is the only "controller axis" for playing digital (!) games. I've had a bit of frustration sometimes because of this.

I bought mine at a Sofmap store, but that was 2 years ago. Searching in Japanese, it looks like they are no longer made. Even a search on Rakuten only shows the PS version, not the PC (and the PS2 version looks to be OOP as well)

Maybe a Y!JA search is in order?

I found THIS THING on Ebay. I wonder how well they work? They're kind of cheap looking....

I may end up going thatr route just because there doen't seem to be anithing better.

The reason I haven't is because I already have a pad I use with the diamond button layout for NES ans SNES, I'm mainly trying to find something with the straight six button layout and cushy D pad for Genesis gaming.

Looks like I'm shit outta luck though, cause even retrousb has gone 100% nintendo. Maybe I can try one of those PSX/Saturn to USB dongles.

yeah, that's not a bad option, but I suck at moding shit. I can barely intsall RAM in my computer. Though if a more skilled member wants to take up the challange and make a working one from those parts, I'd gladly pay for all said parts and kick in a little extra for effort. . .

Lik-Sang is just waiting for the right time to come back from the dead. Their old stock is still sitting in some warehouse in Hong Kong. You might be able to buy the real thing again soon.

I have the converter Damaramu posted and I love it. I use it mainly to connect the GH guitar to PC but I've tested it with Saturn and DC controllers and didn't notice any problems.

Or do what I did. I bought a cheap and nasty one on fleaBay, took the guts out, fitted in an old official Saturn controller and Hey Presto!

The PCB and buttons retrofit perfectly so there's no faffing. Works perfectly even if it is a little ugly with a bright white cable sticking out of my shiny black controller.
